Eatwithindia – A delectable journey to the soul of India

These days, going out has become very frequent
where people love experimenting with new cuisines. While the ambiance entices
the diners and gives them a nice change from the regular meals, the food
sometimes goes for a toss. We Indians tend to take food as a very necessary
thing in our life and hence authentic food is something that we adore even now.

I experienced a fantastic pop
up dining concept with eatwithIndia. It was at Sonal’s residence in Noida where
she took us on a delectable journey of authentic Assamese food. A fantastic
hostess, she has been hosting dinners for families and guests since quite some
time.

The pop up dining conept has been introduced to
bring together people from different backgrounds and socialize over great wine
and authentic Indian food. It’s a great way to mingle, let your hair down and
eat scrumptious delicacies at home without worrying about intricate things.

The ambiance lightens up as people gradually enter Sonal’s residence. she assures attention is paid to every little detail. so while we introduce each other with others, the starters and drinks arrive. Later, we meet the chef Mamon (Gita) Mahanta, Sonal’s mother in-law, who hails
from Assam and loves to cook.
So while she explains each dish with precision, I
am in awe with the astounding aroma and appearance.

I started with some luchi accompanied with Masor Tenga,
Maachor Muri Ghonto and Manxor Jhol.
The dishes are bit spicy and yet scrumptious.

The flavorsome chicken and fish dishes
are as enticing as they appear. I was very
impressed with Aalo Konir Dum
and Mati
Mahor Dali
that were devoid of extra
oil and light to the palete. I enjoyed them with some Joha Rice.
The Assamese desserts are
equally impressive. The Narikol Laru is a coconut laddoo that tasted delicious. The
Payash
is a kheer prepared with khoya, milk and sugar.

An  Introduction to eatwithindia:
Pop up dining is a dining experience with
eatwithindia that brings together expert chefs who prepare multi-course dinners
for an evening of fun, social dining, connecting adventurous foodies together
on communal tables. This is done by breaking the mould of individual dining and
reflecting the belief that communities and friendships are formed over food.

These expert chefs are a mix of professional and home chefs who make you sample
the most authentic fare from Kashmiri to Kerala cuisine. You can choose to dine
with a celebrity chef at his home or be hosted by a royal family at their
palace or be hosted by someone in your neighbourhood who cooks the best Goan
meal.
