The massages are curated as per the requirements of the body type, therefore inducing a sense of calm & restoration for the mind, body & soul.

  • Abhyanga Massage: This Ayurvedic oil massage was unlike anything I’d experienced. Two therapists worked in synchronized movements, their strokes warm and rhythmic. It felt as though they weren’t just easing muscle knots, but realigning my entire energy.
  • Shirodhara Bliss: Imagine a continuous stream of warm oil flowing gently over your forehead. As it happened, my breath slowed, and I slipped into a deep meditative state. It was pure stillness—a kind of peace I didn’t know I needed.
  • Potli therapy: During my stay, I also experienced the potli therapy – a traditional Ayurvedic therapy using small, heated cloth pouches, filled with a blend of medicinal herbs, spices, and oils. as the potli is applied to the body, the therapists apply gentle pressure and heat to stimulate blood circulation, relax muscles, alleviate pain and stiffness, and promote overall relaxation and detoxification. This was the best therapy I have experienced.
  • Budha bowls & medititation: At Tre Wellness, Tibetan singing bowls fill the air with vibrations. I could feel the sound resonating through my body, dissolving tension with every note. It was as though my heartbeat had found a new rhythm.
  • Herbal Steam Detox: Enveloped in warm, herbal-infused steam, I felt my skin and spirit both exhale. The lightness I carried afterwards was not just physical but emotional—like shedding layers I didn’t realize I was holding.

These therapies reminded me that true healing isn’t about adding more—it’s about surrendering to stillness.

Food as Medicine at Ahara: Nourishment with Intention

The retreat’s dining philosophy was simple yet powerful: food should heal. And it did—beautifully.

  • Breakfast: After sunrise yoga, I started my mornings with banana smoothies. The flavors were as vibrant & healing to the gut.
  • Lunch: Meals in the afternoon were grounding and energizing. There was gram flour pancake, ragi dosai, salads for lunch. One standout dish was lentils pizza drizzled with cottage cheese & vegetables. desserts are not served ; but the last day I was served a hearty gulab jamun made with sweet potatoes. It was heavenly. I could hear the sound of birds songs replacing background chatter, while devouring their hearty meals.
  • Mid meals: comprised of sprouts & herbal teas.
  • Dinner: Evenings brought calming, restorative dishes. There were wholesome soups that felt warm, soothing, and intentional.

What struck me most was the practice of mindful eating. Meals often began in silence, allowing us to really notice textures, aromas, and flavors. Eating slowly, without distraction, turned food into meditation—and nourishment into true self-care.

Lessons Beyond Relaxation

The retreat wasn’t only about therapies and meals. It was about rediscovering myself in stillness. I journaled by the pond, walked barefoot on dewy grass at sunrise, and joined workshops on mindfulness and breathwork. The best was the art therapy – where I played with colors & expressed my emotions on paper & stone – it was transformation & shift in energy that I experienced.

For the first time in months, I wasn’t rushing. I was simply being.
