Shoppers Galore @ Spring-Summer Edition of Rubaru

The sun is scorching outside as
the Capital sets record highs, but that served as no deterrent for over a
thousand shoppers to come and indulge in retail therapy at the Spring-Summer
edition of Rubaru – which also marked their 15th edition in Delhi.

Over 50 brands, specializing in
summer-wear, organic materials, summer chic and wedding bling jewellery, home
décor, juttis and footwear, and even interesting food products, it was a packed
house at Lalit Hotel. Tarot reading on the side, bling footwear bang in the
centre of the hall and noted FDCI designers Rahul Singh, Abhi Singh and Gaurav
Jagtiani coming together to form the perfect ensemble for a fashionable day
out. Out-of-town travellers included brands who’d come from Jaipur, Lucknow,
Punjab, Himachal and even Goa.
Rubaru is the brainchild of three
friends – Durgesh Goel, Minal Aggarwal and Vandana Aggarwal – and their
collaborative effort to curate brands for a unique and stylized experience. I went through some amazing collections created by young designers. What enticed me was the creative energies in the venue that echoed versatility and enthusiasm.
Each stall had young designers who had taken pains in creating their masterpieces. The delectable add on was Food Cloud. Sweet and savory delights were offered as a token of love and affection by the team that made this brilliant exhibition work.
Quotes from the Afternoon:
“No two brands at our exhibition
have overlapping products or styles, and I only pick brands that I enjoy or
would love to shop from, to give people a quality shopping experience,” says
Durgesh Goel, founder of Rubaru.
