Soul Food experience @ Devang House

Devang celebrates the distinct
flavors of organic meals. The organic Navratri Thali we experienced last week echoed
a fine balance of aroma and taste. The entrance of Devang House rejoices in
brilliant hues of somber whites that are alluring in appearance.

The restaurant has a decent
seating capacity of 25 covers and a spectacular view through their big bay
windows.

Once when you are seated
inside, you’ll definitely become familiar with the subtle aroma and purity the
place offers.

Our servers placed two dishes to
relish – daal and beans served with pooris, sprouts and rice.  This divine interpretation of the regular
dishes is cooked in traditional manner. The menu reflects the best in taste and
flavors.
The beans were gently cooked with
aromatic spices and finished with fresh coconut. We loved the aroma and
devoured the dish. The urad dal was a combination of tomatoes and split urad
lentil.

The dal was a totally different take on the usual which is gently tempered
with whole red chilies. If there is a deadly combination of lentils and vegetables,
it is this platter which is simply cooked to perfection.

The kuttu pooris look beautiful
in appearance and taste delicious. It was the carrot phirni that stole my heart
with the richness of milk and saffron that tempted me to dig in the flavor.
