Cafe Delhi Heights – hospitality at its best!

There are some entrepreneurs who
are passionate about their work and feed in positive energies to it. Enter
Vikrant Batra, an entrepreneur with a difference, who has taken an oath to make
people literally drool over his food.So what is it that makes him
different from the rest? His delightful food haven, Café Delhi Heights

has garnered
much attention and affection likewise. Running successfully at Ambiance mall, Gurgao
and Promenade Vasant Kunj, the newly opened café has come up with lucrative
attractions to take dining at an altogether different level.

The interior shot on a quiet weekday
I reviewed the place on a buzy Friday
evening knowing the fact that it would be the most chaotic day of the week. A
lovely walk on a summer evening at the corporate hub of Gurgao, Cyber City flared
my appetite. We approached the place with much anticipation and found the place
filled with people, both corporate and families. A long que of eager people
were waiting for their turn to bite into some of the most succulent dishes at CDH.
Our turn finally came and the
manager, Aman ushered us warmly towards our table. Right next to the cashier a
table for three was reserved for us. The entrance of CDH transports you back to
the generation when simple things gave pleasure for people of all age groups.
Gaming options that could please a child  and a grandfather at the same time is
something you cannot ignore.
Beer and cheese soup – Cheese lover’s delight!
There is a certain positive vibe
in the air at CDH that surrounds the environment at CDH. As we entered the
place, the café was buzzing with energy from people of all age groups. While
kids could be seen devouring their meals, their parents were simply celebrating
life over a couple of drinks.
An interesting menu @ CDH
Aman, the manager at CDH, catered
to our needs very well and ensured we were properly served. The menu of CDH was
quite interesting with a mix of Indian, Chinese, Thai, Mediteranean and Italian
food.
He suggested us to start with some
soups. We ordered for a mushroom cappuccino soup. An exotic blend of mushrooms thickened
in a frothy cappuccino style, the soup was gleaming with cream that tasted
heavenly. The other one, a beer shredded cheese soup was high on cheese that
had hints of beer at each bite. But the Tom Yum soup was at its flavorful best.
Hot garlic pepper wings – Hot and delicious
We ordered for some Basil and
Pesto salad to accompany the soups. The salad perfected with crisp veggies and
mild dressing topped with smoked cheese was the perfect appetizer. Jalapeno
poppers, as a starter was another scrumptious dish that did justice to the
creamy cheese filling. The hot garlic pepper wings were spicy enough to burn
our tongues but delicious enough to try another bite. Crisp and yet well done,
these wings were indeed scrumptious.
Scintillating coolers to quench the thirst
We browsed through the drinks
menu that had interesting concoctions to choose from. Our attended suggested us
to try “My Darling Go Green”, a fruity blend of kiwi, fresh mint leaves, apples
and cucumber. Each sip of the heavenly drink is divine giving justice to each
fruit. Another one was “Country Time Lemonade”; a tangy twist of blue curraco,
fresh lemon and club soda that was served with crushed ice; chilled to
perfection.
We were satiated to the brim, but
the main course was still pending. Mr. Vikrant Batra, who usually visits the
restaurant to check the smooth functioning, joined us for some time. While talking
about his ardent journey from childhood, his eyes gleamed as he mentioned about
his passion, food. Coming from a background of food and hospitality, his
journey has been an interesting one.
Juicy Lucy Burger – an epitome
While talking about the food that CDH is
famous for, he suggested us to try the Juicy Lucy burger. The size of the
burger was enormous, and an accompaniment of potato wedges heightened the scrumptious
burger. As you bite into the juicy burger, the juices of the meat and leafy veggies
ooze sensuality and linger in your taste buds for a long time. True to its
name, the Juicy Lucy burger is worth trying. If you are a vegetarian, it’s a thing
you will always regret not to bite into.
Brownie with ice cream – sinful!
The last epiphany of the
rhythemic tune was the dessert. A chocolate brownie with ice cream was the
perfect ending to the meal. The entire food review was an experience never to
be forgotten.
