The salon has recently opened up in the heart
of Delhi where Riya showcases her expertise in hair and make-up. Supported with
a full-fledged team, Riya’s smiling persona is as charming as the salon’s
appearance.

With a decade long career of styling popular
celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, ShabanaAzmi, LiletteDubey, Manoj Bajpayee,
GautamGambhir, Dinesh Karthik and MahelaJayawardene, Riya definitely knows her
work quite well.

Academy and Salon is a culmination of
her hard work and effort. Apart from the services provided at the Salon, the
academy trains underprivileged girls without charging them a fee, to give them
motivation as well as teach them to stand on their own two feet. The  salon spread at 2000 sq ft has a chic and regal finish that is
prominently displayed by a combination of beige and whites. The minimalistic
furniture on the vitrified tiles gives enough space to enjoy the warm hospitality
while waiting for the beauty treatment. 



The entrance looks beautiful with decorative
items to enliven the space. It comprises of 5 hair cutting stations – one
nail art section, one pedicure, one shampoo station, 2 facial rooms and 1
bridal room.

As
I step in the salon, Riya’s beaming smile takes away the tired look from my
face. After checking my skin and hair, she suggests a Vitamin C facial for a
refreshed look.

The beautician took me to a facial room that had soft hues on
the walls and dim lights. The facial lasted for about 30-40 minutes which
included exfoliation, cleansing, clearing gel, pack, steam towel and
moisturizing. The products simple, clean and clinical are free from artificial
fragrance that simply melt into the skin.

The treatment first starts with a
facial massage which calms the mind while stimulating circulation. This is the
stage where you can feel your tension release as you submit to the rhythmic
strokes. In addition to a face massage, I was also treated to a hand massage to
further relieve tension. My face is then treated to the
chemical free products that give an added radiant boost.
I loved the mask applied towards
the end, as this is a moment where you can just let your thoughts drift away
and can even fall asleep as your skin soaks up all the nutrients. The serum that was applied in the end
closed all the pores making it more subtle and soft. My skin definitely
appeared more even-toned.

Me and my daughter went for
a hair spa. The Lo’reol hair spa is a  recommended hair spa if you have rough and
damaged hair due to execcisve hair colouring. Free from harsh chemicals, the
spa cream is a perfect answer to replenish the hair. The cream was massaged in
the hair roots. A quick steam and hair wash later, my hair definitely felt soft
and manageable. 
My daughter and I could not
have thought of a better way to enjoy a day of pampering. We thanked Riya and the
team for the impeccable makeover and felt refreshed and renewed.
