The Westin Gurgaon New Delhi Introduces Crafted

Westin has always enchanted me
with innovative ways to celebrate life. The hotel never fails to impress guests
with new recipes in food and drink. So when I received an invite for the launch of their signature
cocktail menu – Crafted, I was enthralled and eager to try their new flavors.

The invitation that I received
looked very promising and I was eagerly waiting to try their new menu. So the
day finally arrives and I reach Story Club @ Westin Gurgaon much before time.
The staff as usual is their welcoming best and makes me feel comfortable. Soon
time passes by, and guests start coming.
Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Area General
Manager, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, welcomes the guests and gives
a small introduction on Crafted menu while introducing the creative genius
behind the fabulous concoctions.
He
says, “Together with Westin hotels and resorts across the globe, The Westin
Gurgaon is proud to introduce Crafted at Westin. This signature beverage
program allows our guests to have some fun while at the same time, enjoy a
premium and natural cocktail -a great way for our guests to unwind after a day
at work or when relaxing with family and friends.”
Taking inspiration from fresh
natural ingredients, local flavors and craftsmanship, Crafted at Westin is the
Westin brand’s newest food and beverage program. The creative genius Jitender
Singh is associated with Westin Gurgaon for over a year,  and is responsible for the relentless
innovation of new cocktails and shots, guest interaction, designing of the
packages as per guest requirements, requisition of alcohol or food items.
The bartenders began their tasks
with full passion and dedication. I was awe struck by the way they were
crafting succulent cocktails and mocktails with finesse. The signature eight
cocktails introduced @ Westin were Pomegranate Green Tea, Whiskey Punch,
Camomile Mule, Monk’s Sapphire and other handcrafted cocktails along with
refreshing mocktails such as Granny Julep, Pine is Mine and Aambi will be
introduced. The local cocktail creations at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi include:
  • Chai
    Experiments:     Chai Experiments
    is prepared by infusion of vodka with special Chai Masala and spices for
    one to two weeks; true to the Indian culture along with famous Indian
    spices namely Cinnamon, Cardamom, Star anise, Mace; complementing to the
    local tastes, stirred and blended together with amaretto, grand marnier
    and angostura bitter served on the rocks. I recommend this one for sure.
  • Monks’s
    Sapphire:     Monk’s Sapphire is
    prepared by infused old monk with cucumber slices for a whole week; reducing
    the bitterness of rum and providing it with a refreshing and light flavor,
    muddled with cucumber slices along with sugar syrup, lemon juice and a
    dash of rhubarb bitters.
We had a heart time with friends
while devouring scrumptious snacks. The hotel never forgets to end the event on
a delectable note. A buffet spread was awaiting the guests at the Terrace of
Story Club. I enjoyed their biryanis the most and the pan flavored ice creams.
