Plush fabrics and linens, blue
and brown hues of mother earth, all comprise of the luxury I had stepped in at the Heavenly Spa @ Westin Gurgaon New Delhi . Throughout the spa,
artwork and sculpture reflect the ardent efforts of Nature giving a sense of
well-being in the luxury haven.

The Ambiance – Sumptuous and Serene
 
Among the most aesthetically
dramatic areas of the spa is the Relaxation Lounge, where large windows usher
in the green hues.

Floors are finished in Italian marble, and soft ground lightning
mimics sunset, the prime moments of day for relaxation and re-connection. Dark,
plush lounge chairs and a golden ceiling compliment the soothing environment.

The Tranquil Therapy @ The Heavenly Spa 
 
The Spa menu @ The Heavenly Spa offers treatments
that are holistic for the mind, body and soul that comprise of
Traditional Ayurveda and Thai massages.
In the spa’s relaxation room, as
I cuddled up in a soft robe on a luxurious chaise, my Therapist introduced
herself with folded hands. I indulged in the spa’s signature massage called
‘Aspire’ with aromatic oils. My masseuse, made me lie facing downwards. With a
generous amount of oil, she then expertly massaged away any tension that could
possibly be left in my body.

A combination of rhythmic
strokes, joint movement and deep kneading loosened and set my body at ease. As
the end of my spa experience drew near, I found myself dreading the shrill ring
of a cell phone, and the traffic sounds that would surely greet me once I hit
the road.

When she had finished the treatment
I took a shower. I bought almost every scent in the spa’s signature soap line
as I concluded my shower.
A warm welcome by the staff
awaited me as I walked towards the spa lobby, gleaming and glowing with
freshness. I was looking forward to a hair spa and a pedicure post the massage.
Wide chairs in beige took me to a level I cannot express.
The Salon experience – Beauty Re-defined
The hair dresser, an expert with
massages, spread the L’oreal spa cream and gently massaged in my scalp. The
strokes were simple yet effective. A steam followed later helping the cream to find
their way through the hair follicles.

In the pedicure studio,
comfortable chairs are lined up side by side with fashion magazines on the table to keep guests entertained whilst the feet are primped and
preened.

The pedicure that followed was by
far the best experience ever. A smiling pedicurist, asked me if I preferred the
green tea or lemon pedicure. I chose the former. The luxury pedicure is an hour
long treatment, beginning with the feet being bathed in bubbles.
Cuticle cream was
applied on my toe nails followed by some scraping action. Legs and feet were exfoliated
with Voesh scrub before being placed in warm water. A thick layer of Voesh mask
was applied followed by a Voesh lotion for intense moisturizing.
Later, she silently
kneads my toes, feet, ankles, calves and knees until I’m almost asleep. When she’s
finished, there isn’t even an inkling of a sore muscle.
I loved the full experience and thanked the Spa Manager and her dedicated team for the fabulous wellness odyssey.
