Beneath the hustle and bustle of
New Friend’s Colony, New Delhi hides a gem of relaxation and tranquility. Presenting Zehen @ The Manor, New Delhi.

As I walk towards the entrance,
the soothing aroma awakens my senses. I develop a connection the moment I set
my foot on the entrance mat. The warm staff ushers me towards the reception enlightening
me even further. The row of lit diya evokes a sense of wellbeing throughout the
corridors.
Aptly named Zehen which means
mind, this eco-conscious luxury spa sanctuary takes us far away from the chaos
we call life. Billowy sheers are draped through, a dimly lit relaxation room
offers comforting tea, and services are kicked off with the choice of therapy.
Touring the property’s 3 floors is
a relaxing exercise in its own right. Original brick walls are juxtaposed with
modern accents of glass and tile to create the platonic ideal of a holistic
wellness center.

I fell in love with the herbal tea prepared in-house that was
served before being taken to the beautifully lit path to my simple but
luxurious spa room. Zehen embraces the natural beauty that surrounds it. The wellness center breathes in fresh air because of the well planned luscious green belt, tended by an army of smiling gardeners.

Locker rooms, changing areas, treatment rooms, and saunas are kept meticulously clean around the clock. I was awestruck by the spiral staircase that lead to Ayurveda spa rooms all lined up. I reach the floor where an Ayurveda doctor
welcomes me with a vibrant smile.

The Ayurveda consultant  has a good experience in judging a person’s
body traits by simply feeling the pulse of a person. In minutes she diagnosed
my overall health. Zehen has a spa menu which is
designed to “inspire health and happiness through wholeness and balance.”
The Treatment:
 

The treatment chosen for me was
the Zehen Signature massage that lasts 60 blissful minutes, taking the guests
through a gentle massage designed to draw out even the deepest toxins acquired
from living in metropolitan madness.

The signature treatment includes
an organic massage with herbal oils, reflexology, along with foot and hand
treatments, followed by a simple facial.

Wrapped in a plush white robe, I was
instantly transported from my shell-shocked state caused by the intense travel.
The incredible massage using hot oils cured outright some lower back pain that
had bothered me for years.

I was transported into a peaceful
world where I didn’t want to come back ever. The deep sleep I acquired post the
massage was a sign of my body’s gratitude to the masseur. After a steam and shower, I
worked up an appetite and looked forward to the healthy meal that was curated
by the talented chef, Manish Malhotra.

The Healthy Menu

Chef Manish Malhotra curated a
delectable odyssey that comprised of a healthy meal. The Salad served to me was
made with fruits served with glazed walnuts and jaggery syrup.

My heart felt truly
rhythmic after the delectable salad. The main course comprised of Vegetable Quinoa
biryani served with wasabi and cucumber raita(curd).

I loved the food and ended it on
a sweet note with jaggery based kheer made with brown rice. It was a perfect
ending to the perfect meal.

I thanked the chef and moved for another luxurious
pampering session of pedicure waiting for me @ the Warren Tricomi Salon. The
luxurious salon offers treatments in a beautiful setting that overlooks the
green hues outdoors.

As I sit down to experience the
luxury pedicure, I was enjoying the beautiful scenery while sipping green tea. The pedicurist is a well trained person who knows his job quite
well.

The one hour long session included basic & regular nail cutting,
filing, removing skin removal, buffing, scrubbing and finally a good long
massage.

I felt pampered and my feet
gleamed and shone with the similar appreciation. The complete experience
concluded beautifully, where I was all set to bounce back rejuvenated and
blissfully rejoiced.
