New Menu experience @ Pavilion, ITC Maurya New Delhi

The iconic ITC Maurya, set in a
highly desired location has long seduced visitors with its natural
beauty and dramatic vistas. It has for decades remained a timeless piece of Lutyen’s
Delhi that modern-day travelers rejoice in even today.

Every piece of furniture, painting, sculpture or art-piece is chosen specifically to frame the guest experience. Custom-designed light fixtures and furniture embody a vintage charm with a uniquely modern, creative slant. Contrasting design elements throughout the hotel emphasize the synergistic balance of urban and natural elements.

I was impressed with the warm festive aura of Christmas in the hotel lobby. In each area of the
hotel, is displayed a bespoke presence of the joyous celebration. This beloved hotel unveiled a new
menu @ Pavilion and invited bloggers to introduce a fine conjugation of taste
and appearance.
The restaurant is definitely the finest place to enjoy a
relaxed meal in a luxe ambiance where hospitality is an experience to cherish.
The Pavilion is built in a British-style with large windows displaying the well
manicured garden adjoining the pool side!
It is the centerpiece of the
hotel and a welcoming retreat of classic elegance. It adds to the hotel’s
unique aesthetic and fluid design that welcomes guests throughout the day and
evening to refresh themselves, network or just relax.
As I entered the restaurant, I
was welcomed by the warm gestures of the hotel staff that ushered me to my
table. Our hosts were Ms. Richa Sharma – General Manager Corporate PR, the Master
Chef –  Ms. Manisha Bhasin and my very dear friend Vikrant Nath.
I was seated near the buffet so as to get a glimpse of the magnificent spread. The master chef
welcomed us and served the first amouse bouche: a new interpretation of Molten
Brie! The spicy apple chutney which depicted the unusual flavor was accentuated
with fresh herbs.
The second amuse bouche was the
Pavilion Shrimp Cocktail – A simply wonderful creation. I loved the combination
of greens and vegetables, especially the Asian-inspired salad dressing.
Our starter
was served as an encouraging prelude to the wonderful meal that was to follow.
We were served the soup later that took me to a level difficult to express.
A mouth watering array of the
finest dilli chaats that had dahi gujia,
moong daal gulgule, and tikki chaat
were served before us. They were all
cooked to perfection. I ate them slowly so as to prolong the pleasure as long
as possible.
The green burger is stacked with rye, sunflower seed buns with
caramelized onion and feta that is a perfect mélange of flavor and taste.
I
adored the butter chicken which wasn’t too spicy or sweet but had the perfect flavors
creating a symphony together. My sweet adventure was sealed with pavilion chocolate
fudge that was gone in few seconds. I cherished my experience @ The Pavilion
and took back beautiful memories.
