Unlock Street art by Le Meridien New Delhi @ The India Art Fair

Art has always intrigued me since
childhood. I never miss an opportunity to witness any art exhibition in the
city. So when it was an invitation by Le Meridien New Delhi at the India Art
Fair, I was enthralled to cover it. This time there was a pop up @ The Le
Meridien Hub that showcased the art and spirit of local streets.

This was the fifth consecutive
year with South Asia’s largest contemporary art fair. The Le Meridien Hub at
the Art Fair site in New Delhi was converted into an interactive space with a
diverse experience from Le Meridien destinations in India.
The Hub saw the
unique synchronization of music, cuisine & art from the local markets of Le
Meridien’s cities such as Coimbatore, Kochi, Jaipur, Chennai and Nagpur.
The main essence was to feature locally
inspired flavors, cultural experiences, iconic street food across the
destinations of all participating Le Meridien Hotels in India. The VIP lounge could be seen with beautiful
stands of street food. On the other side, a curated event featured a live
juxtaposition of Street Art and music. While the musicians played the drums;
the artist paints to the notes, capturing the rhythms on the canvas.
As the journey commenced, renowned artist
Sankha Samanta captured the aromas, textures and spirit of diverse culture and brought
to life each of the distinctive Le Meridien destinations.
Inspired by the local
heritage and culture of each of the city and the ethnic food presented by the
master chefs, Sankha ignited inspiration, and brought the destinations to life
on his canvas.  Le Meridien shares a new
perspective on street culture at the India Art Fair. The closing gala of the
Festival saw a unique cuisine showcase at Le Meridien New Delhi
