Andaz Spa – Tranquil and Blissful

The Andaz Spa is synonymous with
luxury and wellness that is rarely found anywhere. Keeping the focus on
wellness holistically, the spa aims to pamper and rejuvenate the body, mind and
soul. The unique feature about the spa is the chakra balancing therapy that is preceded
after an assessment of the chakra that needs more focus.



While moving towards
the spa, the lush greenery swayed and greeted me. Each step of mine was taking
me towards a therapy that would enhance my well-being. I was truly elated and
excited to reach. The moment I set my foot on the entrance of the spa, a
peaceful Zen surrounded my being that drifted me towards rejuvenation.
The manager of the spa greeted me
and ushered me to the first floor. A wide open space of the waiting area has
every element of well being you can imagine. Chakras in the form of stones in a
box, potted plants to enhance the air quality reflect the intense care and
precision taken to ensure good results at the spa. Each room is spacious with
every element of luxury thrown in – The dressing area, comfortable sofas, luxurious
spa bed, and drawers.
There are different styles of
massage including Ayurveda, Thai and Traditional massages.  Plush robes and slippers helped me to glide
into comfort as soon as I wore them.  The
service at the spa matches the opulent décor.
The therapy based on the chakra
chosen was a Coffee scrub followed by massage with lavender oil. The 90 minutes therapy is a heavenly delight that
infuses the goodness of rose to deep cleanse the body and thoroughly nourish
every pore.
The treatment is carried out with
the scrub. My therapist explained the various stages of the treatment and began
by putting hot towel on my feet, while she did some light body brushing.
I could feel the Coffee scrub work
up their magic as she gently scrubbed it on my body in circular motions. The
exfoliating helped to shed off grime and toxins leaving a soft tender sensation
overall.
After a shower, a luxurious
massage with lavender oil helped me to relax completely. The oil spread an
overall feeling of goodness from head to toe. She carried out a complex series
of tapping and cupping strokes. I confess by this time that I had completely
lost touch with reality and just drifted away into deep relaxation. I could
feel my dry skin soaking in the goodness of oil.
She scrubbed my face with gentle
strokes ensuring the skin is relaxed. Soft strokes on the face with the correct
pressure took me to a deep level of relaxation I never experienced.
After a
warm shower, my skin felt soft and glowing. I loved the therapy and thanked the
manager for the amazing service. Later, I moved towards Annamaya, where the PR
Manager Arpana was waiting for me to join her for lunch.
The spa treatment made
me feel hungry. We ordered for a salad and fish. Minutes later, the dishes
arrived and we enjoyed them with foccacia.
The AnnaMaya bakery prepared fabulous
breads for the guests. I devoured the King fish and loved the moistness and subtly
of the dish. The spices were less and the flavor was intense.
My holistic journey of spa and
dining came to an end. I bid Arpana good bye and thanked her for the lovely
experience. Some treatments remain in your heart forever; and this one was definitely
on the top of the list.
