Kingdom of Dreams weaves magic again with their new show – Abhimanyu

We have always been intrigued by the mystical world of magic and make-believe. Kingdom of dreams makes this happen with regular shows that bring our imagination alive! On 19th November, another star was added to the crown with the entry of Abhimanyu – A dancer who was swift like the deer and had a charm
that could please any woman. After the success of Zangoora, The Gypsy Prince and Jhumroo, celebrating the spirit of Kishore Kumar, Kingdom of Dreams scaled another pinnacle with the premiere of a third International Broadway style musical on stage, Abhimanyu, The Fastest Feet, produced by AMS Events.


The journey of Abhimanyu is all about the defeat to triumph, who crosses all barriers, wins his pride, love, dreams and life back in a show stopping finale depicting the victory of Good over Evil, through the war waged by Lord Rama on the notorious King Ravana.  


The show that started off with a village backdrop went to become a starry world class performance in the USA. Sharing the stage were some very eminent dancers who were brilliant with their moves. 


The live show took us to a fairy land where the actors were seen flying in the air – A Bollywood flick on stage. I was mesmerized by the expressions on the actors who played their roles with passion and dedication.The comic timing added a twist to the drama lightening up the show. 


The International dance performances also took my breath away with their mind boggling dance performances. 
The grand and stunning finale brings together two of the most famous
styles of dance, Classical Indian Kathak and the contemporary Hip-Hop in a
mesmerizing crescendo of music and dance. 


The captivating journey of Abhimanyu
is brought alive by songs sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Daler Mehndi, Udit
Narayan, Javed Ali, Anvesha and Dinesh Mahavir.

Events, and Directed by Sandeep Mahavir the lead character of Abhimanyu is
enacted on stage by Nrityashree, Pt. Sandeep Mahavir who belongs to a
traditional family of musicians and vocalists of the Jaipur Gharana. 
 
The star of the show, Sandeep Mahavir said, “Abhimanyu has been a labour of love for me. It has
been a long and eventful journey since I conceived of the idea leading to this
day of its spectacular debut on stage. I thank each and every one of those who
have made this day possible. I am sure that the show will captivate and
mesmerise the audience and that everybody will enjoy watching it as much as we
have enjoyed working on the musical”.

This heartwarming tale of the turbulent journey of an
Indian classical dancer who loses himself, his heartbreaks, shattered hopes and
final redemption, Abhimanyu, The Fastest Feet will showcase on stage in the
opulent Nautanki Mahal at Kingdom of Dreams every day in the months to come.
