Janpath Grill House – Romancing the flavors of India

CP has an amazing plethora of
choices when it comes to dining. From fine dining to street food, CP attracts
food lovers from different areas to experience a variety of cuisines. I love CP
for its vibrant energy and it was time I tried something Indian this time. 

I
chose the Janpath Grill House to witness their different take on cuisines from
each part of India. The entrance is very welcoming and spacious as I walk in with
my family to experience the food and service.
The floors and high ceilings of
the restaurant are very impressive, while the spacious chairs ooze comfort and
relaxation.  I observe an interesting picture
covering the wall that depicted different activities of Delhi. The cartoon caricatures
were impressive and hilarious at the same time.
There is ample space for dining
on the ground as well as the first level. The servers could be seen taking their
orders from different tables. There were couples and families
who could be seen enjoying their meals.

However, the highlight of Janpath Grill
House is the open bar, where you can watch the performance of talented
bartenders who craft exquisite cocktails and mocktails. Musical score by an in-house guitarist strums famous numbers to add melody for the guests’ dining experience.

We are handed over a menu that
seems like a fanfare of scrumptious dishes from different states of India. We
chose Amritsar Macchi (Fish) and the
Pomfret from the Punjab section to initiate our culinary odyssey.

It was the Bharwan Chicken that took me by surprise. The tender Chicken’s crisp
body draped the minced chicken fillings with a spicy intonation that seemed so
rhythmic.The Amritsar Macchhi was gone in a few seconds and satiated us to a
level impossible to express.

For the main course, we picked up
the Chinese choupsuey, chicken fried rice and fish in black bean sauce.  The fish in black sauce had a profuse use of
seasoned herbs and fish that delighted my taste buds.  


We sealed the meal with a classic phirni and a
surprise in the form of chocolate walnut brownie that was gone in a few
seconds. We loved the experience and thanked the team who served us with so
much warmth and affection.
