Hype – Taking the clubbing scene to a higher level

If you are a party lover, but
hate it when the pub shuts down by midnight, visit Hype, the latest entrant to
the Eros Intercontinental hotel Nehru place. After its massive success of Hype
at Shangri-La Hotel, it has now opened doors to music lovers in South Delhi.

We got a chance to review the
place and loved it. Equipped with state of the art lighting & sound coupled
with straight line interiors, Hype seem the perfect place to wind off during a
hard day at work.
Once you enter Hype, you get the
feeling that little work was needed on this place. This place is not only for
conviviality and drinking, but for hosting meetings and gatherings.
With its
whimsical décor, extensive menu and consistent freshness, it does make for a
fun entry into the clubbing scene. The foot tapping music sets the
stage alive for dancing while the bartenders get set in making exquisite
mocktails and cocktails.
The server approached us with the
menu for appetizers and drinks. I chose the apple cinnamon tango, while my
friends chose the Orange Brunt and Jack 7 in heaven. I have to admit the drinks
were satiating and the best I have ever had.
We tried a few appteizers to go
with our drinks while enjoying the peppy numbers played by the DJ. The menu
boasted of a conjugation of Western and Indian peppered with a Mediterranean
fare.
The first dish we ordered was the
chilly chicken. The well balanced vibrant citrus flavor of ginger tempered in
this dish is something that is worth appreciating. The fish flavor in the beer
battered fish that we ordered next was masked by a dip that was delicious.
The
basil paneer tikka lacked the ‘basil’
flavors which came as a surprise to me. I was enlightened though by the murgh malai tikka that enchanted me with
its fine texture and taste. If you love hummus just like I do, you must try the
pita bread with hummus. The taste and texture are both delightful.
The Hype experience is worth
cherishing if you love to dance till the wee hours of morning. The crowd usually
comes after 11 pm that stays on till 5 in the morning.
