Hair spa – A necessary indulgence
 
We are all under the impression
that a hair spa is recommended only for hair damaged from henna or color.
However, this should not be the only reason to opt for a hair spa. With time,
the hair shaft tends to get weak and so it requires conditioning and proper
care. Simply oiling in a week does not give beautiful hair. A spa is indeed recommended
for any type of hair. So you do not have to wait for your hair to get damaged
or ruined to go for a hair spa.

I got a chance to get a hair spa treatment
at Affinity salon, Radisson Blu, Dwarka. Heralded as one of Delhi’s top hair
salon, Affinity has a huge fan following at the affluent areas in the capital. The
hair dressers are selected with precision as the brand ensures quality and consistency
for every guest who walks in.

The salon at the Radisson Blu is
located on the second floor of the hotel. The interior of the salon is beautiful
and reflects the luxury of the hotel’s well ordained interiors. Spacious and
vibrant, the furniture at the salon is minimalistic and accentuates the key
notes of the equipments. The salon offers a range of holistic beauty
treatments; everything from massage to facials and manicures. Some salons and spas seem impersonal or
almost cliquey, but I felt at home here.
The Treatment
 
As I entered the salon, the staff
greeted me with a warm smile and ushered me to the seat for the spa treatment. After
a quick consultation with the hair dresser, I realized my mane was actually
thirsty for some deep conditioning and care. The regular henna had weakened the
roots and was giving way to split ends. He suggested I go for a SP Hair Spa
treatment.
He started the treatment with washing
my hair with a SP Hydrate shampoo. The shampoo worked up a good lather and left
a soft, nourished feel. Later, he applied the SP conditioner and massaged it
well. After washing that off, I was
taken to another seat where he applied SP cream and massaged it really well. A brief
massage with the cream was definately relaxing as it helped in opening the
pores of the scalp thereby letting it breathe. A steam session that lasted for
ten minutes helped the cream to reach the roots.
After a while, my hair was washed
again. A soft towel dry-off followed by a light massage with Luxe oil in the
end made my hair soft and silky. I was very satisfied with the complete hair
spa treatment and the hospitality of the salon. I recommend Affinity at
Radisson Blu a must visit for people looking for good salon services.
The verdict
 

The service at Affinity is
immaculate; the hospitality stunning and the expertise of the staff impeccable.
I ended up with a nicely conditioned texture of hair that felt bouncy and
vibrant.
