Fit & Fabulous event @ DLF Promenade Delhi – Glamour and Health

Fitness these days is very
essential not just to look good on the outside but to feel great from within
too. The malls these days are coming up with interesting engagement programs to
entice visitors. Last week was a perfect one where I experience health, fitness
and glamour all in one package.

DLF Promenade in collaboration
with top lifestyle brands launched “Fit & Fabulous”- a unique celebration
of beauty, wellness, nutrition and fitness. This exciting initiative unfolded via
a 10-day extravaganza, which commenced on 19th of August 2016 and ended on 28th
August 2016 at the central atrium of DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj.
A Brief Introduction
 
Fit & Fabulous is the second
edition of DLF Promenade’s ‘Timeless Beauty’ campaign. This year the focus
widened its horizon beyond beauty towards the importance of fitness, nutrition
and healthy eating making for a more end to end program to raise awareness
about harnessing healthy habits to create a beautiful you.
Adding to the glamour quotient,
there were brands that curated few easy tips to get away with makeup while you
work out. Renowned dermatologists from Kama Ayurveda, L’OCCITAINE and Forest
Essentials will be present to give skin and beauty advice to our visitors on
the 24thof August 2016 at their respective outlets.
My Personal Experience
 
Me and couple of other bloggers
witnessed the first session – a very interesting cookout session @ Johny
Rockets with chef Bakshish Dean.
He created some fabulous salads made with
chicken and fresh vegetables tempered with pure Olive oil. While making the
scrumptious salad each one of us could inhale the flavor and aroma of fresh
herbs and light dressing.

We got to taste the final product
and loved every bit of the scrumptious salads. They were simply divine and
screaming of good health.  


The second
stage was even more interesting. Smoke House Deli was the second place that
hosted us with some more exquisite preparation of dishes made with smoked
vegetables.

Chef Shamshul Wahid (Group Executive Chef of Impresario
Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.) made some exotic dishes while
exclusively divulging some interesting
ingredients for tasty yet healthy food. I loved the smoked beetroot that was
both delicious and healthy.
We were very well taken care of
by the staff and were escorted to a health and fitness zone where Fitness Zone
trainers were taking care of health enthusiasts through the correct exercise
regime.
Trainers helped us with a diet chart and a questionnaire that helped
them to analyze my fitness quotient. Luckily I excelled and won a voucher from
Fitness First for a week of complimentary fitness program from any of the fitness
centers throughout Delhi NCR.
The interesting part I found out
was a calorie meter that analyzes each calorie burnt. The burnt calories during
the rowing activity @ the mall will equate the charity contribution by Fitness
First. For each calorie burnt by the participant, a rupee- will be donated
towards Delhi Langar Sewa Society.
There were other exciting and engaging fitness
challenges organized for all the 10 days which
included GX launches, Vipr Athletic, BOSU Balance, Fit ball
&Kettlebells, Spin & win program on Spinning bikes and much more.
The final part was the makeover
program where each participant was given a chance to look their best with
professional makeup artists. I gave it a try and was surprised with the drastic
change on my face. The branded make up kits helped me to glam up my look and I
simply loved it.
My experience @ DLF Promenade
gave me some fabulous memories that I shall cherish forever.
