Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Checks In To Bali

The tropical paradise of Bali
says Selamat Datang (Welcome) to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. The luxury
hotel brand enters this Indonesian vacation hotspot with Fairmont Sanur Beach
Bali, a 120 all-suite-and-villa resort situated along a 200m stretch of
pristine beach on the southeastern part of the island.

Formerly the Regent
Bali, which appeared on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2014 Hot List, the resort enjoys
an enviable location in the Sanur district, nestled amidst four hectares of
lush gardens and 25 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

“Fairmont is very excited to add
this property to our portfolio,” said Jennifer Fox, president, FRHI
International and Fairmont Brand. “Couples and families who stay at this resort
can look forward to an authentic Balinese experience packaged with art, culture
and history,” she added, about the 18-month-old resort.
To celebrate this milestone,
Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali has announced two introductory offers. Travelers can
enjoy 25 per cent off the best available rate when they reside in a spacious
suite featuring captivating, panoramic views of tranquil gardens or the ocean.
For the ultimate getaway experience, guests can book one night at the best
available rate in a home-away-from-home pool villa – available in one, two and
three bedroom configurations – and stay the second night for free.
Complementing both offers are a range of additional benefits including late
check-out and daily breakfast for two. Please visit

At Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali,
understated elegance and Balinese charm await guests, not to mention food and
beverage offerings that are plentiful and varied. Layang Layang specializes in
authentic Indonesian cuisine, serving mouth-watering traditional dishes such as
Sop Buntut (Indonesian oxtail soup) and Iga Babi Panggang (Balinese spiced pork
ribs). Nyala Beach Club and Grill transforms from an informal dining location
by day, to a sophisticated venue by night that focuses on Pan-Asian cuisine
with a modern twist. At the Lobby Lounge, a Balinese-inspired afternoon tea,
light meals and cocktails can be enjoyed, while admiring the gardens and Indian
Ocean beyond.
When not indulging in culinary
delights, visitors can catch the sunrise on picturesque Sanur beach, take a dip
in the resort’s 50m infinity edge lap pool, or opt for a Balinese massage in
the serenity of the spa. Guests with little ones in tow will delight in the
activity-packed kids’ club, complete with a mini cinema and Sony PlayStation.
Other family-friendly activities include strolling along the uninterrupted 5km
long footpath that hugs the coastline, or borrowing a bicycle from the resort
and cycling around Sanur.
Even event planners will find
something to suit their needs. The Library function room is ideal for private
gatherings and small-scale meetings. Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali is also the
perfect venue to tie the knot. Brides and grooms can choose from a garden or
beachfront celebration, planned with the assistance of a dedicated weddings
team.
Within Sanur, locals take pride
in their hometown being Bali’s first beachside resort area, and how it has
resisted the wave of commercialism that has swept the southern part of the
island. Charming cafes and local boutiques line the streets, anchored by a
museum dedicated to Belgian artist Adrien Jean Le Mayeur, best known for his
landscapes of the island he made home.
Originally a fishing village,
Sanur started to evolve in the 1920s into a bohemian community and later, a
preferred holiday destination of socialites, celebrities and royalty. Yet, in
spite of its star-studded past, Sanur has retained its idyllic charm.
As one of the leading
destinations in Southeast Asia, Bali needs no introduction. Part of the more
than 17,000 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago, it is just under
two hours by air away from Jakarta. The Island of Gods offers visitors a
beautiful and diverse natural environment, ranging from stepped rice paddies,
lakes, volcanoes and beaches, to a rich and varied culture reflecting Hindu,
European and Indigenous influences.
The addition of Fairmont Sanur
Beach Bali to Fairmont’s portfolio comes ahead of the opening of Fairmont Jakarta
in 2015, and a second Fairmont property planned for Bali in 2016. It joins the
existing portfolio of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Asia including Fairmont
Singapore, Fairmont Makati, Fairmont Beijing, Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai,
Kunshan’s Fairmont Yangcheng Lake and Fairmont Nanjing.
