When two best friends ISAAC TIGRETT and PETER MORTON’s create a product that is synonymous with music and great food, it creates ripples in everyone’s hearts – and that is exactly how we felt in our staycation at the hotel.
Location
Hotels in North Goa are positioned quite near to the famous beaches like Anjuna and Calangute. Situated amidst tiny lanes and crsossroads, you would reach the Hard Rock Hotel Goa. Move towards the lobby and would find yourself surrounded with rock and pop stars in their cool avatars. The hotel’s lounge area is adorned with contemporary wall art and interiors finished in bright tones of red, purple and grey as well as touches of leather, wood and marble.
There is a small shop next to it with merchandisers of all the pop artists – bags, hats, sweatshirts – anything at all. You can spend an afternoon exploring the shop or simply enjoy the funky music being played.
We found the hotel an act of love curated for pop music lovers who drink, eat and sleep musically ; whether it’s punk, indie, rock ‘n’ roll, techno or hip hop; heavy metal or “hard rock”… it’s all about the music.
Rooms & Suites
Room and Suites are beautifully appointed in a palette of whites, creams and purple, finished in gold and silver accents. The 135 rooms and suites are broken into four room categories deluxe, superior and executive and three types of suites – executive, family and premier. Rooms are a good size (especially for North Goa) and the crème de la crème of each guest room and suite are their marble-finished bathrooms, complete with toiletries and amenities.
All room categories have soft cotton linens, feather duvets and efficient double glazing that guarantees a good night’s sleep. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with lights and the suite’s interiors and furnishings give the feeling of a luxury apartment rather than hotel room making it far more personable.
I loved coming back after dinner, drawing the curtains and cozying to drink a nightcap before bed.
Dining
Hard Rock Hotel has some of the best food items inspired using the finest seasonal and local produce. The restaurant and bar offer a refined and welcoming environment serving, breakfast, tea, coffee and all-day dining options. We specially loved their variants of hummus, salads and cold cuts.
We had a lovely breakfast while staying there. We indulged in eggs, continental and Indian dishes paired with hot and cold beverages like fruit juices or mocktails.
There is also a long pool ; the perfect place to unwind while sipping refreshing cocktails, shaken and stirred by the poolside bar.
Spa and Fitness
We loved the Rock Spa – a spa with a unique service of giving massage while listening to soothing music.
As I was on the massage table, I could feel the soothing sounds of binaural beats gently caressing my ear and reaching my soul. With every beat of the music, the massage strokes were gradually picking up leaving me relaxed and rejuvenated. I found myself under the magical spell and drifted off to sleep while the masseur softly proceeded with the massage.
The Club also includes a state-of-the-art fitness centre that has a music-inspired yoga program and a rejuvenating spa. For the music enthusiast, the Sound of your Stay program gives you an opportunity to enjoy legendary live performances in your room, conduct guitar jam sessions, browse through customized playlists and spin vinyl records, leaving you high on music.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for a home from home in North Goa, the Hard Rock Hotel ticks all the boxes. I loved how discreet the hotel is – you could almost miss it walking past. The team is wonderful, and the interior decor is divine. The hotel offers a great dining experience any time of the day and their suite category of rooms elevates the luxury experience to another level. We loved our stay at this property and we know you will too.
