Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives opens New Ocean Pavilion – Renew your vows to the sound of waves

Taj Exotica Resort
& Spa Maldives brings to you the  Ocean Pavilion, an ultra-romantic setting for symbolic celebrations
and ceremonies. S
et in complete seclusion and surrounded by the crystal waters of the Maldives’
largest lagoon, the pavilion is only accessible by boat.

Its architecture
reflects the local Maldivian style, with antique wooden columns and a tiled
roof.
For
couples wishing to reaffirm their commitment to the sound of lapping waves in
the middle of the Indian Ocean,
Taj Exotica Resort
& Spa Maldives
 offers a ‘Renewal
of Vows’
 package.

The packageincludes a ceremony at the idyllic Ocean Pavilion followed by a sunset cruise
with space for family and friends. An under-the-stars party will then be
arranged at a private location within the resort where guests can feast on
freshly caught seafood, canapés and champagne either on the island’s pristine
beach, a secluded pavilion or one of the resort’s villas – lavishly decorated
for the wedding night.

The package also includes a photographer to
capture the event.
The
newly ‘remarried’ couple can then enjoy some romantic time alone, being
pampered in a
 JivaGrande Spa over-water couple Suite.
Here they will experience the signature Alepa treatment drawn from sacred and ceremonial time-honoured Indian
bathing rituals.

Couples can upgrade
their stay by reserving the recently renovated Rehendi Presidential
Suite
where they can marvel at the ocean life from glass-walled
bathrooms.

With open-air salas for unwinding and dining, a
15-foot infinity pool and hammocks, this is the perfect place to celebrate in
style another ‘happily ever after’.

Maldives has
something special for the newly married couples too. With powder-soft Maldives
beach and its magnificent sand bank, this place is
considered as a spectacular
dream wedding
destination. Taj and its exquisite picturesque weddings have
always been iconic. At Taj Exotica, Resorts & Spa Maldives, couples can
celebrate their ceremony at the property which is inspired by the traditional
architecture of the region.

A long wooden pier leads to the pavilion set on a
secluded island, privy to panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, near the resort.

The sand bank ensconcing the pavilion is perfect to host pre-ceremony cocktails
and post-ceremony dinner and parties.
The latest trend of
beach weddings, preferred by Indians, is evident in the survey conducted by the
Taj Group of Hotels called the ‘Taj Wedding Barometer’. According to the Taj
Wedding Barometer survey, 18 per cent of people in West prefer a beach wedding
while 19 per cent of people want to marry in Asia. This is closely followed by
people in North where 13 per cent people want weddings at a beach and 10 per
cent prefer Asia. Amongst Asia, Maldives is considered as one of the most
romantic destination for an unforgettable wedding.

Taj Group of Hotels
conducted the survey on weddings – ‘The Taj Wedding Barometer’ aimed at
understanding the attitude, beliefs, trends and tastes of Indians towards the
concept of marriage. The survey commissioned to the research agency IPSOS,
covered pan-India respondents and encompassed all the phases of the Indian
wedding from the proposal to the pre-nuptial, wedding to the honeymoon, and
‘the whole shebang’ that can be associated with the magnifique affaire.
