A night to remember @ Sky Lounge, Hotel The Royal Plaza

The sky looked beautiful on a Saturday when the rain gods
wanted to bless the earth with a downpour. Brightly lit and open to the world,
the Sky Lounge was the perfect place to witness the rain showers. Located on
the 19th floor of  Hotel The Royal Plaza, CP, the lounge conceptualized a
few months back gives a 360 degree view of the capital that looks beautiful in
the night.
Sky, situated on the top floor of Hotel The Royal Plaza, is spread
across an expanse of 18,000 sq. ft., divided between two interconnected spaces,
the Moon Bar and the Presidential Lounge. The strategic location of the venue
provides a panoramic 360 degree view of the scenic city, with key highlights
including Jantar Mantar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Qutub
Minar, amongst other significant landmarks in the city.
Spacious enough to cater to a large gathering, the Sky
lounge fits the bill for a perfect night out with friends. We entered the hotel
and were taken to the 19th floor that welcomed us with a wide
entrance to the lounge that looked beautiful.
Just like the sky represents transcendence, it provides an
experience that was extraordinary beyond compare. Drawing inspiration from the
myriad forms of the clouds and the gradual metamorphosis of the sky from day to
night, from light to dark, Sky represents a venue that is as experimental as it
is unique. Displaying all aspects of live entertainment, Sky seeks to break the
boundaries of the conventional and attain true transcendence by curating events,
which have never been experienced before.
The food at Sky includes be-spoke cocktails and a menu that
features snacks and main course to satiate taste buds. We enjoyed the magical
ambiance of the terrace lounge feasting on scrumptious starters like fish,
paneer and chicken that were perfectly done. The staff at the lounge is very
hospitable that ensures each diner is well served and taken care of.
However, rain dampened the review as we had still ordered
for the main course. The staff in the hotel ensures each guest is well taken
care of. While some enjoyed the downpour and danced in the rain, others like me
preferred to be seated in the café downstairs. We concluded the review with a
coffee and dessert and were happy with the services provided by the courteous
staff.

Choose to dine at the Sky Lounge on a day that does not
predict a downpour so that the beauty of Delhi can be witnessed more clearly
while enjoying a scrumptious meal.
