Fun filled start to the second season of Taste in TLC

A fun filled evening with

bloggers amidst fine wine and great food was the perfect setting for the launch
of yet another exciting food show on TLC.
The channel is all set to entice food lovers with the series 2 of The Taste.

With the high riding success of the
first season, The Taste Season 2 is coming again to enthrall foodies with a
gastronomical fare judged by Marcus Samuelsson, Nigella Lawson, Anthony
Bourdain and Chef Ludo Lefebvre.

We were greeted warmly by Rajiv
Bakshi, the eminent VP, Marketing Discovery Networks Asia Pacific. He delighted
the bloggers with an interesting background of the Taste series while giving us
a sneak preview of the season 2.

The series involved a tight competition
with the participants who have always been food enthusiasts all their life.
Their dish was selected on the grounds of the perfect taste. They were then
chosen by the judge to be a part of their team and mentor them.

We were floored by the culinary
finesse of the chefs who made lip smacking delicacies and showcased their
masterpieces in front of the judges. While Nigelle and chef Ludo were easily
pleased, the other judges weren’t that easily pleased. The participants who
were selected by the judges based on the taste of the dish exuded emotions that
were heartwarming. They were the lucky ones to be mentored by the judges.

The show delighted us with some
snacks in veg and non veg that were served constantly with wines. The surprise
element of the show was still left. There was a blindfold session that
followed.

We were made to taste food while being blindfolded. While some of the
dishes were easily judged others were confusing. The chefs gave us hints while
we still trying to figure out the taste. It was fun to learn how tasteful a
dish can be with extra ingredients thrown in.

The event was as successful as
the series. If you want to catch the excitement, don’t forget to watch the
Television series Taste Season 2 only on Monday and Tuesday @ 9 pm only on
TLC.
