Zingy salads, exciting pizzas & pastas – PizzaExpress has everything for everyone

PizzaExpress screams “efficiency.” Simply put, it is the most impressive fast food chain to hit Ambiance Mall,

Vasant Kunj in a long while. Even if you avoid fast food like I

do, PizzaExpress is hard to ignore keeping in mind the fantastic pizzas and
pastas. 

Before actually eating at Pizza Express, the popularity and success stories of the pizza chain had already given me a positive view of the outlet. Located on the second
floor of the Ambiance mall, Vasant Kunj, the vibes of PizzaExpress is
friendly, with enough room for 100 diners. Well-lit with furnishing similar to
that of an Italian pizzeria, the restaurant looks impressive. 
 
An entire wall
covered with memorabilia of famous Italian chefs proves the love and honor that
is given to the diligent chefs.
As I walked in to
review the restaurant, a cheerful attendant ushered me to a table. While he
cordially explained me about the delectable items on the menu list, he also
guided me through the different types of pizzas, the drinks and side dishes. I
learned that Pizza Express is all about the finest pizzas that also satiates
diners with preferred toppings.
We started the review
with a cold glass of mint cucumber. The cucumber chunks can be felt as you sip
the cooler gently. What excited me was the starter that the server recommended.
A plate of baked dough ball was served with three dips like tomato, mayo and
basil. The dough balls, baked in-house is vocal about the freshness that is
associated with the brand.
The bruchettas ordered next was a perfect amalgamation of warmth and freshness. Three large
pieces unlike the usual bruchettas are served with basil leaves as toppings.
 

They seem ordinary
when served but satiate the taste buds as you take a bite. The mint cucumber
salad is not something that I would recommend. The presentation surely needs
some finesse. The Indian style chopped onion and tomato kind of hamper the taste
of watermelon.We tried the Penne Sciliana, that actually covered up for the
missing taste in the salad, and we were back with happy taste buds.

The garnishing on the
entire review was an opportunity to make your own pizza. The skilled chefs help
you with every small detail to make you feel an accomplished chef. While me
daughter excitedly dons the chef’s cap, I willingly clicked pictures of her
rolling the dough for the first time. Round of dough, a smear of tomato sauce,
a few slices of mozzarelle di bufala, few basil leaves, blast together under
blistering heat, and voila the pizza is ready to relish.

We sealed the deal
with a sweet delight in the form of blueberry cheese cake. The sweetness and
the cheesy feeling simply melts n your mouth as you take another bite of the
sinful delight.
While other
restaurant talks only about food, Pizza Express ensure you take back memories
of a lifetime.
