Kheer @ Roseate House – Distinctively Indian

Aerocity comprises of some of the finest hotels, but there are some that etch a beautiful memory that lasts forever.

My recent experience of fine dining at Kheer @ Roseate House was one such experience that carved a special place in my heart. Kheer is distinctively Indian owing to its uver class interiors and flawless hospitality.

Luxury interiors @kheerThe diligent team headed by chef Anuj and Jeetender makes the experience delightful and enriching.

Although I have visited the Roseate House very often to cover several events but my visit to the traditional restaurant was pending since a long time.

A warm invitation by chef Anuj to review the restaurant elated me beyond words. We reviewed the place on weekday.

As we walk towards the restaurant, a warm vibe exudes us and we are enchanted by the simplicity and authenticity of the beautiful space.

Kheer comes with a fusion of elements that enchant diners with a succulent fare of phenominal dishes that are mouth watering and leave you completely satiated.

First Impressions

The wide entrance followed by a huge space that is dimly lit up catches the attention immediately. Warm hues on the walls are in perfect contrast to the colorful upholstery on the sofas and drapes. There is ample space for diners to enjoy a fine dining experience.

You can choose to sit on the comfortable sofas that are aligned well or on the chairs that bring you closer to your co-diners. We began our review with some cocktails and LIIT. What enchanted me was the live station serving chaats and golgappas.

Food review

The diligent team @kheerMy weakness was calling me and I immediately moved towards the table to indulge in some lip smacking chaats. The variants of gol gappas were interesting  -semolina, wheat and quinoa. I tried the quinoa while my family loved the other two.

The precision of the compostion that makes the gol gappas delicious was consistent in each bite and we had quite a few. The next thing which must be tried is the jalebi chaat.

The traditional jalebi is tempered with curd and spices that look colorful and taste amazing. We loved it. The starters  were pizza naan, barrha kebab, chukunder chilgoze ki tikki, murgh malai tikka, kasundi fish and tandoori jheenga. The fish used in Machhli Tikka was shallow fried in ghee that was remarkable. The kababs were soft and tender, where the consistency remained till the end.

It was the murgh malai tikka that was very different from the usual tikka . Spiked with an unconventional dressing, it was a treat to indulge. The soft and tender tandoori jheenga matched our expectations quite well, just like the rest.

We preferred a brief interlude before the main course started. A small walk towards their lounge section enticed me. If you love those private moments with your partners, you will love this section.

You can enjoy drinks and snacks here with some amazing foot tapping music. What I loved about kheer was that every section was independent from the rest. The guests are made to feel comfortable where ever they choose to sit.

The brief interlude was great to pave way for the main course to follow. We were served Murgh kolhapuri, dal dhungar, junglee maas, nadru palak and the breads served were bakarkhani, sheermal,
reshmi, achari kulcha.

The dishes were succulent. The gravy of jungly maas had wonderful aromas of herbs and spices, while its taste was tangy and sour at the same time. I would give a recommendation for those who love mutton.

We relished the sheermal that was quite unusual from the usual breads. I loved the nadru palak that had hints of herbs but yet was light to the palette as it had no amount of spices in it. If you love simple dishes, you must try this dish.

It would have been a shame if we skipped the dessert. I forgot about my diet plan and indulged in a scrumptious kheer and paan rasmalai. The paan rasmalai was the best I ever had.

There are lot may other reasons to enjoy a nice dinner besides the flawless ambiance and warm hospitality at Kheer.
