Narain Niwas Palace – A Heritage property in the heart of Jaipur

Traveling to Jaipur and don’t know where to stay? Sitting in the heart of the pink City, the historic Narain Niwas Palace offers several reasons to check in this fabulous property. Here is my hotel review of the historic luxury property.

Heritage property with a dash of splendor While researching on the internet, browsed several hotels that seem luxurious yet lacked the heritage aura. It seemed almost impossible to decide on the hotel that I was looking for. Lucky for me, my eyes stopped at the beautiful Narain Niwas Palace hotel.

The stunning property caught my attention so well that it was difficult to ignore it. Located in the bustling city of Jaipur, Narain Niwas Palace is a former mansion that has been pristinely restored. If you ever wanted to step into the world of aristocracy, this is your chance. First impressions Right from the entrance lobby, I found myself in awe and astounded by the heritage property that reveled in its rustic glory. We have been to Jaipur many times and stayed in different hotels but I must say this is one of the most memorable stay that I ever experienced.

Narain Niwas Palace is located in the city of Jaipur, close to the main market which only takes 15 minutes to reach the place. You can also have an easy access to the supermarket, shopping malls, chemists, souvenir shops, the famous hawa mahal and restaurants. The Palace Hotel also has a fabulous array of designer boutique shops that customers can splurge in.

A hotel with intricate and modern interior design, this property is certainly best suited for travelers, and tourist who want a place to crash after visiting the pink city. It also provides amazing facilities that can cater large number of people for conferences, meetings or even wedding destination. It has a perfect wedding venue that can hold up to more than thousand guests.

Hotel amenities and services  The hotel a free parking space, free WiFi access, multi-cuisine restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, room service, 24-hour front desk assistance, laundry service, dry cleaning, ironing service and fax/photocopying. The hotel also has two fabulous restaurants – The Palladium and Shikaar Bagh that serve Italian and Indian cuisine. Classic Heritage

Today Narain Niwas Palace merges its past grandeur with modern comfort and detailed service, from the warm hospitality, exquisite rooms and succulent dining experiences.

The heart of the property is the colonial courtyard. Think beige pillars, ochre washed walls, comfortable chairs, potted palms. Here you can sit on a comfy sofa, enjoy high tea or just soak up the gracious atmosphere.

Accomodation

Every room in the hotel is different. Ceilings are high, carpets are plush and the luxurious upholstery adds a cool elegant touch. There are 52 rooms and suites well equipped with all the modern amenities like television, safety lockers, and a luxurious bathroom.

We stayed in the base category rooms but loved the experience as it had a beautiful view from the room. The morning sun would usher in the room and we would wake up to the sounds of birds. What I was happy about was the beautiful garden where I could do my early morning exercises. We had a king size bed, spacious dresser and closet, and a luxury washroom.

The location of our room was a short walk towards the lounge, which made getting breakfast quite pleasurable. Service The service and itinerary was what really set this hotel apart from the rest. The team ensured that we were well taken care of – be it the reception, room service or dining at the restaurant.

Dining Steps from the courtyard lead up to the multi-cuisine restaurant that serves authentic Rajasthan cuisine and continental dishes, combining local produce with ancestral traditions and contemporary gastronomy.

The wide glass windows of the restaurant throws open the cascading greens that is alluring and welcoming. Maybe describing some menu items can help : You can try their traditional veg thaali that comprises of gatti ki sabzi, lady finger, lentils and papad ki sabzi.

Where to laze around

The classic heritage property has a lavish pool that is located amidst lush gardens and swaying trees. There is a cage in the garden with a wide variety of birds that chirp their way into the heart. You cannot miss their twittering sounds.

The Traditional touch

The traditional dance by the Rajasthan group is an amazing experience. The Lively cultural performance from these Rajasthan dancers on traditional music makes one feel welcome. Big wide smiles everywhere, from the lobby area, hallways, and restaurant, treating every guests with a warm, friendly and generous act makes you feel special.

The best part is when they make the guest dance to the tunes. There is a feeling of warmth and hospitality that can be best experienced while dancing with them. Booking For reservation, you can check the latest price in their Website.

Outdoor activity

If seeking for a more thrilling activity, you should try their bicycle tours that take you to the fabulous castle Kanota where a classic museum whisks you to the historical era of Rajput traditions.

Definitely an incredible experience! Another option is a visit to the forts of Jaipur, a perfect escape for the family.
