Odeon Social- Back to School Days

Ever fancy of walking in a
restaurant that has momentos of school placed at every corner? I walked down the memory lane of
my school days and my childhood days revived again as I stepped in Odeon Social.. The beautifully decorated place in CP has already garnered attention of
youngsters and families.

Each day people throng to this place to get a doze of happiness
while soaking in the colorful ambiance and relishing pleasurable cuisine.

The comfortable seating, subtle
lightning and brick styled walls create an everlasting impression. Waiters serving
food are dressed up in school uniform which elevates the experience.

A table
with an ordinary black telephone and files symbolizes a principals’ desk. A glass
cupboard with a kettle and glasses flaunt the ordinary but classic canteen,
while a large blackboard with students’ names on it resembles a classroom
scenario.

I loved the large bell near the
entrance which was symbolic of the bell gong we had in our schools. We began
our review with some interesting starters.

The vada pao bao served to us is phenomenal in taste and presentation. The
bao is an unusual take on the usual paos and the fillings of potato patties
with chillies give the usual vada paos
a delectable twist.

The garlic chutney is a perfect match to this dish. I would
surely come again to devour the vada pao
bao.

From the drinks menu, my family ordered the peach iced tea, guava
spiked juice while I opted for a fresh carrot and apple juice.

The bhelpuri should be ordered by
people who love chaats. It comes in a cute jar and has flavors straight from
the chaat corner in Mumbai. The fish n chips make a classic choice for fish
lovers.

The soft texture of the fish is a complete match with the crispy fries.
I loved the Mexican Chicken Tikka that had olives in them. It is a perfect
amalgamation of taste and presentation.

The main course comprised of Rice with
mutton. The delicious flavors of Indian spices like cumin seeds, cinnamon,
garam masala make this dish mind blowing.

I haven’t ever tasted mutton in my
life but simply loved the flavors of this dish. If you love mutton, you must
try it. The achari basa fish has
capsicum, fish and potatoes that work up the magic in your mouth the moment you
take the first bite.

Although we were stuffed to the
brim after an enormous meal, we couldn’t take our eyes off from the dessert
choices.

A chocolate blood bath is sinfully delicious while the casatta plays
off well compared to the regular casattas we have been having since childhood. Walk in to the Odeon Social if
you are looking for a great time with friends and families. The beautiful ambiance
and succulent cuisine gives you an amazing experience that remains etched with
you forever.
