Mother’s Day Brunch @ Seasonal Taste, Westin Gurgaon

Mothers are the most integral
part of our lives. Their love sees no boundaries or limits and flows
unconditionally. To honor and value the mothers, Westin had come up with an
amazing gesture to treat the most important being in our lives.

14th May, Mother’s day
was welcomed with warmth and love at Seasonal Taste, Westin Gurgaon. The team had collated a
magnificent brunch for mothers along with a splendid makeover session from
Kryolon.
The hotel was bustling with
guests and mothers of all ages could be seen beside their children. Young, old,
middle age – they all seemed to be having a great time.
The entrance was
beautifully decorated with placards of hashatgs following mother’s day. The
wide variety of lip smacking delicacies showed the ardent devotion and passion of
the Westin team.
The buffet started at 12.30 pm. My
mom and I took our seats and looked around admiring the decoration. A singer performing
near us accentuated the experience even further.
While enjoying the soothing
numbers, we ordered for some fresh watermelon drinks and helped ourselves with
some fresh salads at the counter.
The variety of salads at Westin is always very
elaborate. The executive chef Deepak and his team ensures guests are well fed
and nourished. They was a humungous variety of cold cuts too, but I was happy
with my plate of zucchini salads and humus with pita bread, while my mom was satisfied
with her veg hot and sour soup and some fresh
breads.
A clown came happily towards our
table and starting entertaining us with his antics. It was hilarious and made us
laugh crazily. A little later, a very pretty girl approached us and assisted us
in making some drinks for us.
She represented the United Spirits Company and
was the Reserved Brand Ambassador with the group. A scintillating mocktail made
with watermelon, peach, basil and lime was served to us that tasted heavenly.
We resumed our lunch with some
flavors of the South. While there was a mind boggling variety of dishes like
prawn curry, sambhar, chicken, fish, I settled with an appam and some warm veg stew.
It tasted delicious. My mom on the other
hand was happy with her plate of Chinese greens and some noodles.
The chef insisted me to try some
Thai flavors. I must admit it was a great choice. The Thai red curry was an absolute
classic combination of taste and presentation. The grilled fish was another good
choice that was flavorsome and soft.
While we were enjoying the
flavors, a team from Kryolon approached us and offered my mom a gift on the occasion
of Mother’s day. It was a beautiful shade of red and my mom loved it.While we were so stuffed, we
still could not get our eyes off from the dessert spread.
There was a beautiful
display of cakes, muffins, ice creams, cup cakes, soufflés and Indian teats. I
loved the blueberry and black berry popsicles.
The decorated cup cakes were too
beautiful to be cut. A cake with 17 layers of different flavors was the chef’s
favorite creation. The taste was divine.
My mom picked up the paan kulfi,
while I helped myself with some macaroons and a teppenyaki ice cream. We also
loved the waffle presented with blueberry sauce and cream.
Westin has always delighted me
with the flawless execution of buffet spreads. The diligent team is always
smiling and enthusiastic to serve their guests.
I would like to thank the Westin
hotel in making my experience so cherished and would recommend my readers to
try their delectable Sunday brunch that represent the hotel’s ‘Eat well’ concept.
