Mirza @ Kasba, GK 1 – Cuisine from the City of Nawabs

Kasbah in GK comprises some of the

finest restaurants in Delhi . Guests can enjoy lip-smacking numbers in the perfect
setting of any of the three restaurants located on all floors. We were invited
to review their newly opened restaurant Mirza located on the second level.
Mirza offers a vibrant décor as you step in.
There is ample space for diners
to enjoy a fine dining experience here. We began our review with mocktails that tasted excellent. The
starters that followed were subz galauti,
subzi ki seekh, kathal ke shammi anddudiya kebab while the non-veg starters included awadhi seekh,
mutton galaut, dum ki chaap, lahori grilled fish, Machli ki seekh.

The sole fish used in Machhli Seekh was shallow fried which tasted remarkable. The kababs
were soft and tender, where the consistency remained till the end.

It was the dudiya kabab that was very different from the usual kababs. Spiked with dry fruits, it was a
treat to indulge. The soft and tender kathal
ke shammi matched our expectations quite well, just like the rest.
While we rated the starters ten
on ten, the main course that followed by nine on ten. The main course that arrived
included subz changezi, Nimona ka salan,
murgh Korma, murgh zam zam biryani that were served with breads like taftaan, ulte tawe ka parantha, sheermal,
bakarkhani and roomali. The dishes were good, compared to the
delicious starters. However,we loved the chicken and biryani that went well with the soft sheermal.
The pakhtuni halwa
deserved quite an attention, and we loved the soft texture so much that we ordered
for another helping.  I think this was the
best halwa I ever had.
