Sarovar Premiere – Luxury in the heart of Jaipur

Jaipur is my favorite city and I am fortunate to have reviewed stunning properties in the pink city. Last week, I had reviewed a lovely property that lies in the heart of city and yet was secluded from the city noise and chaos. The Sarovar Premiere – a four -star hotel located in the heart of Jaipur.

Location

Overlooking a railway track, the hotel feels surprisingly quiet. The station is just a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel. Sarovar Premiere is a stone’s throw from some of Jaipur’s finest museums including the Albert Museum. I would highly recommend booking direct as they always have deals going on.

If I had to choose one word to describe this hotel, it would be elegant. Every inch of the hotel is so tastefully decorated, without being too stuffy or formal.

 The welcome

As we entered the lobby, a lovely lady at the reception welcomed us. The hotel has taken a very contemporary approach, complete with an elegant marble flooring, sparkling chandeliers and plush sofas placed in a corner. We were a little late to check-in but after a long journey, their warm hospitality simply freshened us up. They took our bags and offered a welcome drink that immediately took away our tiredness.

The luxury Suite

The Guest Relations Officer, Mr. Prateek, a very suave and hospitable man showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know about the hotel. His charming smile was consistent as he mentioned about all the benefits of the room we were provided. The hotel had upgraded us to a luxury suite with large windows to usher in natural light and effective noise insulation.

The soft beds with bedside lamps, a large almirah and a writing desk appealed me but the beautiful spacious washroom immediately caught my attention. The large mirror and all luxury amenities from Biotique added to the luxe factor but the rain shower enthralled me to a level beyond words. The wardrobe had a safe to keep your personal items secured and a fluffy towel robe and slippers. The light fixtures, except for the bedside lamps, are controlled using electronic switches and the room temperature is also electronically controlled. High ceilings, a reading corner, plush pillows, and a spacious bathroom – this room ticked every box for me.

I loved the modern amenities such as tea coffee maker, kettle to warm water, and fast wifi. They also have minibars in every room which include non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. We were famished after the long journey and headed to their multi-cuisine restaurant –     Terrazzo

.
The sheer white colour speaks in volumes of the simplicity in this place. Tables and chairs are decently placed while the large windows usher in the sunlight on a cold winter day. We took our place near a large window and couldn’t help but notice how quaint the place is.

The diligent staff ensures you have a fabulous experience while dining. We were handed over a menu that comprised of Indian, continental and oriental dishes. We opted for the North Indian culinary experience and were guided by the chef to try their signature Rajashtan delicacies like gate ki subji and laal maas – a mutton delicacy of Jaipur. A small snooze was something the family was looking for after a long tiring day. The soft beds and room temperature was perfect for the comfortable sleep. We woke up refreshed and moved towards the bar located on the lobby level.

The bar Lattice

The bar is nothing short of spectacular with a beautiful view of the light changing pool outdoors. We loved the service and the drinks. The menu has a wide variety of beers, cocktails and mocktails that were worth every penny. We loved the vibe of the bar and would give it a highly recommended place for a fantastic view of poolside and excellent service. We concluded with a very dinner of Chinese food, which included chilli chicken, rice and noodles along with some scrumptious Greek salad.

The first day of staying at the Sarovar Premiere was lovely and we looked forward to the next day. The sleep was a very peaceful one as the beds were super cozy and the room temperature absolutely perfect. We moved towards to the restaurant with a ravenous appetite and were enticed to see a buffet breakfast awaiting us.

The Breakfast Buffet

The breakfast buffet is both Indian and continental. There was a lives station of South Indian dishes like dosa and uttapam that simply ignited my appetite even further. Besides that, there was a variety of cut fruit, salads, cereal, cakes, breads and more. We even loved the pancakes served with honey.

Sight-seeing in Jaipur

We planned an outing to visit the several museums, palaces and forts in Jaipur and so without wasting time we left the hotel and visited the sightseeing spots that are well known. I particularly loved the Albert Museum and Amber Palace that is famous for the sound and light show. This one should not be missed as it has brilliant narration of the mewar saga. The day ended in a blink of an eye and we returned to the warm hospitality of the hotel. There are small shops selling jewellery and apparels in the hotel that can be visited for a good variety of rings and pendants.

The entire trip had made some hungry and we moved towards the restaurant to enjoy a nice meal. The buffet was laid that had a decent combination of Indian and continental dishes. I ordered for some grilled fish that tasted great, while my family indulged in some pasta. Lastly we tried the gulab jamun cheesecake and some fruit phirni especially made by the executive chef. We loved the taste.

Sarovar Premier Hotel – Perfect for families

We found the service extremely warm and welcoming, the room was super clean and cosy, that made for a comfortable stay. I would recommend the Sarovar Premiere Hotel for couples and families enjoying a weekend away from Delhi or corporates for a nice getaway with office colleagues. This hotel gets thumbs up for convenience, value-for-money and style.
