Escape to Bali Vibes: Nature Village Resort in Pushkar, Rajasthan

Nature Village resort − also called ‘the green village’ − is the best 5-star luxury resort with its own private pool in Pushkar.

Set within 20 acres of lush gardens, thousands of trees and well landscaped gardens. This nature retreat is a gateway to numerous species of birds and butterflies, owing to its natural habitat. The property is home to 24 private villas and tents made to resemble traditional Bali houses in plantations.

The hotel has one restaurant, a magnificent pool, an adventure sports area, and an indulgent spa. The walk towards all these amenities is a luxury nature walk that is therapeutic and relaxing.

Recreating the simple charm of nature, this sublime retreat is nestled peacefully in a quiet rural area just outside of town, slightly apart from the city’s many hotels, busy markets, and tourist restaurants. The property is only a 45-minute ride to the Brahmakumari temple and lake, the old Market downtown area and the airport. Yet its serene and tranquil ambiance feels a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the main town.

Clusters of rustic villas are scattered over 20 acres of lush green space, which are organized around a traditional landscape of intricate stonework, creating vast perspectives from all sides. It truly feel like being in the middle of nature, with massive trees lined up, welcoming guests to the resort.

The resort’s design achieves a striking balance between rustic elegance and genuine luxury. The materials used – timber, bamboo, stone – are voluntarily understated, with natural textures and colors being preferred. The architectural elements are taken from the local vernacular architecture. The traditional Rajasthan colonial aesthetic is further infused with hand-picked antiques, giving the design a sense of belonging and a form of timelessness.

There are 24 spacious villas with private plunge pools, all of them scattered amidst verdant green cover.

THE HONEYMOON VILLA – LUXURY AMIDST NATURE

During our visit, we stayed in the Honeymoon villa, with high-pitched ceilings, featuring a king-size bed, a separate sitting area and a desk. The villa opened to a living room with comfortable sofas and table.

The adjoining room was the dining area, followed by a huge bedroom. The best part of the bedroom was the attached Jacuzzi. The elegant en-suite bathroom was equipped with a huge walking space, a closet, a rain shower and single vanity. A large glass door opened up the view towards an outdoor sit-out space, creating a direct contact with the landscape.

The highlight was the big heart shaped plunge pool, in the middle of the garden. we enjoyed a gigantic breakfast in the pool, complete with delicious options like juices, shakes, fruits, cereals, dosa and sambhar, omlette and a parantha.

AMENITIES AND RECREATION

Nature Village features a magnificent common pool that is lined by one row of stylish loungers. Adjacent to the pool is a spa, which offers fabulous therapies.  The Spa truly is a sanctuary within this resort oasis. The pavilion housing the spa reception is well decorated and managed. It features two spa treatment rooms and a steam room. Therapies and massage techniques such as Swedish or Ayurveda are executed by highly trained therapists.

There are recreational activites spread across the resort like a sports area comprising of ATV, camel and horse riding, archery and other adventure activities, that kids and adults can indulge in.

DINING

The resort serves terrific cuisine, prepared by their executive chef, well trained in culinary experiences. Meals are served in the villas or in the restaurant as per guest’s preferences. Daily breakfast and lunch options are served in buffet, while the a-la carte menus have interesting options in Indian and continental. We were highly impressed with the service in the room. The staff at restaurant bowled us over with a brilliant set-up with flowers and candles on the dinner table. The meal comprised of starters and traditional curries that were pleasing to the palette and the soul.

The High-tea is also something that is highly recommbnded. The set-up in the garden with a comfortable matress and pillows relaxed us instantly. The team served us tea with snacks, sandwiches and cookies.

The weather in Rajasthan is dominated by a dry climate in summers. Best time to visit is between November and February where guests can enjoy bonfire nights. Since it is a hot, dry season from March to June, guests can enjoy the private pool and the common pool experiences.
