The Yangtze River buffet spread @ Eros New Delhi

Eros has always delighted me the fabulous take on food festivals. The luxury hotel located in the heart of Delhi echoes hospitality to another level. While the décor exudes opulence, the courteous staff always
enchants me with their special attention and care. This time I was invited to review the Yangtze River buffet spread at the Empress of China.

The concept of buffet was never initiated, but this time the culinary expert, Chef Nikhil introduced the concept to throw open a variety of flavors picked from the river of Yangtze. The largest water system in China, Yangtze River is culturally important to the country.

It has numerous tributaries including Min River, Han River, Jialing River, Gan River, and Huangpu River. The chef devised dishes from these rivers and displayed them in the buffet.  The menu offers a plethora of options for guests to indulge in Chinese flavors.

The starters

Quenching chicken and crystal dumpling.

Mains

Chicken and peanut salad, assorted mushrooms and avocado salads, picked cucumber salad, vegetable with goji berry.

Jiangxi style steamed whole fish, yunani chicken, Chinese pickle pork, Sichuan egg plant, Asian vegetbles with glass noodles, tsos tofu stir fry, vegetable lo mien, and soya garlic vegetable fried rice.

Desserts
Tangyuan
Pumpkin cake

I loved the dumpling specially and
the steamed fish was above expectations. What I admired most was the
authentic flavors of each dish that was speaking in volumes about the culture
of the places.
This buffet spread not be missed
as it is only from 14th to 23rd September and can be enjoyed in lunch and dinner.
