that accentuate the beauty of this luxury paradise.
Introduction
The Royal Retreat Resort & Spa, Udaipur, is situated near the Monsoon Palace of Udaipur. The resort is located in the Village Hawala on Badi Hawala Road.
The Luxury Resort is surrounded by gorgeous aravali ranges and covered by a vast green cover of gigantic trees and blooming flowers.
First Impressions
Reception
Walking into the hotel makes you transported into the bygone era. There uniquely styled sofas all over the lobby, perfect for relaxing or simply soaking in the history of the land of Mewar. It’s impossible not to feel happy simply walking through the lobby.
I am ushered towards my room that was near the pool side. The resort is located between beautiful manicured gardens, water bodies and lot of open space that makes it perfect for wedding destinations.
Accomodation
The Resort comprises of Super Deluxe rooms, King’s room, Queen’s Rooms, Retreat Suite and Royals Salute rooms that are luxuriously furnished in a contemporary Rajasthani style.
Huge paintings, murals, life like statues, all reflect the intricacy and perfection in selection to adorn each room so beautifully. Every room has five-star standards as the exterior of the resort.
The rooms are as impressive, furnished with large TVs and floor to ceiling windows to appreciate the incredible view. The warm welcome in the form of red wine, fruits, cookies create an everlasting impression.
The bathrooms are especially luxurious, with Italian marble. They are well equipped with all the luxury amenities and a separate rainfall shower , along with a huge mirror for getting ready. The huge wardrobe resembles the Majestic cupboard of the Maharanis with a wide capacity of keeping clothes.
Other comforts that you would expect are like a HDTV, minibar, tea coffee machine, super comfortable beds and dressing areas. I was in awe with the stunning suite facing the pool complete with sun loungers.
Gym and Spa
The Royal Retreat Resort and spa has every type of facility you would expect from a luxury hotel. The functional gym has all sorts of equipment and great music to inspire your workout. Adjoining the gym is the Nirvana Spa that has a beautiful entrance and a welcoming reception area.
Nirvana – The Spa – Maximum Relaxation
The Spa offers all sorts of treatments including massages, body scrubs, and facials. Plush robes and slippers help guests to glide into comfort. The service at the spa matches well with the opulent décor.
Highly recommended therapy is the Aroma spa massage. The 90 minutes therapy is a delight that infuses the goodness of lavender oil to thoroughly nourish every pore.
The therapists here are well trained to work up a great therapeutic massage.
Dining
The breakfast buffet includes The spread has all of everything from exotic salads, fruits, salads, pancakes, cereals in cool mason style jars, and a variety of pressed juices. After breakfast, I went off to
the poolside to relax a bit.
Garden Oasis
I am a fan of beautiful sprawling pools, and Royal Retreat Resort and Spa has not one but three amazing pools! My personal favorite was the pool next to my room, which is surrounded by tall palm trees. I was miles from the craziness of the city life, curling up in one of the sun lounges enjoying the sight of the swaying palm trees.
Taking advantage of its amazing location, each room offers a view either of the manicured gardens, poolside or the mountains, so you can pick your favourite setting when booking a room.The resort itself is massive, offering 2 dining options, three gorgeous pools, a high quality spa, and picturesque views all around.
Extra Information
The in-house workshop has a huge room filled with artifacts that can also be sold on personal request by the guests. I was impressed to see that The Resort is very involved with helping their own employees and nearby locals flourish!
Activities around The Resort
The Resort has a variety of activities throughout the hotel, no matter what kind of experience you are looking for. If you prefer to get your exercise in the sun, you can rent a bike to tour around the property.The Resort also has a well kept and hygienic ranch
that has the finest breed of horses.
Udaipur Sight seeing
If an organized tour is your preferred way of exploring the city, then you are lucky to be staying with the Royal Retreat Resort. They can arrange for a sightseeing tour of the city in their comfortable cars equipped with bottled water. Some of the spots you should not miss are – Saheliyon ki Bari, Vintage car Museum, The ropeway, aquarium, monsoon palace.
The Vintage Baby Austin – A Perfect Luxury Experience
The Royal Retreat Resort and Spa has some of the finest vintage cars. The roya collection of cars shows their finesse and expertise in heritage and exquisite taste. The best part is that guests can experience the joyride in these chauffeur driven cars around the city.
you can visit the Periwal Exports owned by the Periwal family. There is a wide display of artwork, marble work. You can also visit the famous Fateh Sagar Lake – an artificial lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar, constructed in the 1680s. The lake looks beautiful in the evening.
Conclusion
Everything about the Resort reflects their five-star reputation. The food is delicious, rooms beyond comfortable, and the amenities are excellent. The customer service is wonderful as well, with smiling faces greeting you at every turn.
