Radisson Blu Paschim Vihar – A Luxurious Staycation

What comes to your mind when you
think of luxury hotel? Is it the room that has everything you want or a dash of
warm hospitality during your stay? For me, it was the latter that
swept me off my feet the moment I walked into the Radisson Blu Paschim Vihar.

Settled in the prime location ofPaschim Vihar, this property is remarkable in several
ways. But it is the personal touch that strikes a chord and keeps the beats
alive. A weekend of fun, relaxation,
indulgence and extensive pampering is what I experienced here.
Let me start from the
beginning.  Having reviewed several
properties in India, I have been personally very fond of those that have added
a personal touch to my stay. So when I walked in the hotel, a lovely team of
the hotel was standing to welcome me.
A lady with Traditional thali
with a diya, a bouquet of fresh roses in the hands of PR Manger Mr. Tushar and the General Manager Mr. Arun were there to welcome me and my daughter.
I felt like a Queen for a day,
thanks to the lovely team of the hotel. A refreshing glass of chilled
watermelon drink was the perfect welcome for me and I devoured it. After a
brief introduction about the hotel, Tushar ushers us to our room that is
located on the 7th Floor.
The Superior Room

The luxurious room opens up to a
gorgeous set up that has two comfortable beds with soft white linen inviting me
to crawl into it. The warm hues compliment the subtle décor while the furniture
exudes elegance.
Large, wall-length windows allow an abundance of natural light
that add beauty to the room.

Additional amenities include an LCD TV with
satellite channels, electronic safe, work space, comfortable club chair, and
phone with direct dialing, iron and ironing board.
I loved the chocolates that were
beautifully decorated that added a personal touch to my stay. The red velvet
cakes were delicious. The washroom has luxurious bath amenities and bath robes.
I wanted to indulge but I had an
appointment booked for the spa and salon. We looked forward to the indulgent
treatment that was all set to pamper and rejuvenate us.
Vyoma – Indulgence and Rejuvenation unplugged

The spa and salon called ‘Vyoma’
is located on the second floor that is a different world altogether. The
entrance is as charming as the interiors. An urn filled with rose petals and floating
diyas transcend me to harmony and the heavenly aroma of wellbeing kindles my
senses. I walk in further to be welcomed by the spa team with folded hands.
The
manager welcomes me with a spa menu and also suggests me with a therapy that
would do wonders for the skin – a delicious wine body scrub and facial.
The therapist ushers me to the
spa rooms, while my daughter moves to the salon to get a hair spa, pedicure and
manicure. There are several treatment rooms that have a beautiful décor and
calming aura. Each one of these rooms have an attached steam and bath to them.
The soft spoken therapist
reflects the training provided by the hotel. As she requests me to lie on the
wooden therapy bed, my snooze buttons click and I surrender to the soothing
music and lingering aroma. I am not so fond of wine that much but the scrub
seemed scintillating with its fresh aroma.
She begins the scrub made with
fresh rose petals and lavender oil and smothers it on my legs.
The gentle fingers move in circular motion ensuring my sleep isn’t
disturbed. The pressure on the body is well balanced making me feel relaxed at
every stage.
The facial was as enriching as
the body scrub. With subtle pressure on the face, she begins the facial. While
the aroma of the wine scintillates my nerves, the relaxing facial lures me to
sleep. The entire process is so comfortable that I loosen myself to a deep
slumber. The pack works wonders on the face and after a gentle wakeup call I
feel fresh as a rose.
I move towards the salon where my
daughter can be seen enjoying the pampering sessions. While she indulges in the
pedicure, I take a seat near her and ask her experiences. Her smile said a thousand
words and I preferred to continue the process in solace.
The high tea was organized
inside the salon, where variants of cup cakes, rolls and sandwiches were beautifully
decorated. I took masala tea with the snacks, while my daughter relished her
watermelon drink.
The pedicure and manicure that I
went for was a basic one, yet a very luxurious one. The simple process of
exfoliating, scrubbing, massage was done in a manner so indulgent that relaxed
my hands and legs.

The girls are well trained and ensured I enjoyed my relaxing
massage. I loved the hair spa that was done by their very talented hair
dresser. He applied gentle strokes on the scalp ensuring the hair spa cream
seeps deep inside the roots of the hair.
We loved the bonding over high
tea at the salon enjoying the pampering sessions. Soon it was time for dinner
and we preferred to change and move towards the coffee shop where our diner was
organized. Minutes later, we reached the
restaurant – Level 2
Level 2 – Multi cuisine restaurant

Situated on the hotel’s second
floor, Level 2 provides a 24-hour option for flavorful, wholesome cuisine. The
live kitchen has maestros performing their daily work of art. What I loved
about this place was the versatility and vivacity of the servers who loved
serving each table with dedication and warmth.

Level 2 has a vast array of
spreads ranging from Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, Thai, but the
executive chef wanted us to try their signature dishes.

We were elated to be seated in
their glass house that has a beautiful collection of the finest wines from
across the world. The seating inside is comfortable and also gives privacy to
the diners. My daughter and I loved the place as it was perfect for our own
small talks. A few minutes later, the chef arrived with a warm smile on his
face explaining about the surprises he has in store for us.
The manger of the restaurant
offered us some wine to start with our meals. The starters that arrived were a
combination of Thai, Indian, Japanese flavors that were prepared quite well. I
loved the Mughlai Tikkas and dimsums the most.
Flavored with lemongrass, the starters
are served with sweet chilli sauce that accentuates the flavor, giving justice
to the combination of crispy covering and the fillings of sautéed vegetables.
Also, I have to admit the Thai curry was the best I have ever admitted. We
closed the scrumptious meal with a delicious dessert called Tiramisu that was
screaming with chocolate flavors and Irish cream.
Level 2 is a must try if you are
looking for some romantic places to indulge and feel at ease. While the sensual
delight is smothered with some amazing visual appeal, the taste buds are also
satiated with gastronomical indulgence.
We retired to the rooms, happy
and satiated. The temperature in the room was perfect for a good night sleep
and the soft beds were the best beds I have ever slept in any hotel.

The next morning I woke up late,
and there was no time to hit the gym. But our breakfast was calling us and we
looked forward to the buffet spread. I loved the varieties of breads, eggs,
South Indian dishes, North Indian dishes and the Italian fare.

I settled for
some Uttapam with a variety of chutneys accompanied with hot cinnamon tea. I
was happy to be acquainted with Tushar who ordered a waffle. The fresh aroma
was too inviting to resist. I ordered one for myself too and loved the taste
with whipped cream and blueberry sauce.
A little later after lazing in
the room, it was time to meet the General Manager at the Tea Lounge. The beautifully
decorated lounge has a variety of desserts and delicious treats that go well
with their beverages. I loved my simple cup of tea with cookies.
Apart from the services of the
hotel, I was impressed with their gym which has personal trainers to take care
of the fitness level of guests and a gorgeous roof top swimming pool that
overlooks west Delhi.
It was time to bid goodbye to the lovely hotel and take
back memories that shall be cherished for a long time. A chauffeur driven Camry
was waiting for as I was taking leave from the hotel. A good bye gift in the
form of muffins and donuts were given to my daughter that reflected their
warmth and personal care.

Plan a luxury staycation with your family here and get an experience like never before!
