Music Lover’s paradise – TC in CP

If you are young at heart and
music is your soul, then you should try the newest restro bar in Cannaught Place
– TC. The place offers the perfect answer for an after office getaway with
close colleagues, a mushy affair with a sweetheart or just simple youngsters
interested to laugh out loud with some good music.

The latest numbers that are
played are in sync with the flaring appetite, while posters of classic
Hollywood movies and loud slogans match up with the tone of the restaurant.

Located on the first floor in the
outer circle, the place is surely at a competitive level with the other
restaurants in CP. Comprising of two levels, TC sits pretty with its inky
approach and a flight of stairs that take you on a much sobre floor giving a
breathtaking view of the Connaught circuit.
As we entered TC, a young band of
singers welcomed our entry with my favorite retro song. TC seemed a promising
place to end our boring day.

We ordered for man chow and
minestrone soup to start with. The man chow soup barely had the flavor of
ginger and garlic and fared poorly while the minestrone soup pleased us with
its perfect blend of vegetables and a hint of tomato flavor. The starters we
ordered were the chilli chicken and spring rolls that pleased us with its
perfect seasoning, chillies and crisp veggies. The stuffing of vegetables in
the spring rolls was perfectly done while the outer covering was crisp.

The other starter we ordered was
the grilled fish in lemon butter sauce. The fish was soft with vegetables on
the side that were sautéed well with medium salt and pepper, while the lemon
butter sauce that was oozing out had a mild hint of salt pepper.

The crowd was beginning to grow
and the place was buzzing with a mixed generation of people flooding TC.
Comprising more of the office workers, the place was vibrant with loud laughter
mixing with the blaring music. The one thing that irked me was the sight of
smokers who continued smoking despite the sign of non-smoking. I wanted to get
some fresh air and delightfully took the stairs towards the terrace. Connaught Place
was glimmering under the full moon night with the shrill honks of traffic that
moved on rather steadily. The air was warm on the terrace of TC and I could
spot a couple enjoying some private moments. I preferred to give them space and
moved downstairs to continue my review.
We had ordered for a pizza in the
main course. Topped with onion, capsicum, mushroom, corn and Jalapeno, the thin
crust pizza accentuated the blended vegetables with cheese oozing out of it.
The golden pizza gleamed with perfection as we happily devoured each bite.
A gap of few minutes and we were
ready to close the meal with a dessert. The disappointment occurred as we took
the first bite of the hot chocolate fudge. The ice cream had stale nuts that
worsened the flavor of the dessert. However, the tiramisu balanced it with its
perfect sweetness. The manager suggested us to try the Oreo cookie, broken
brownie sundae. The ice cream was fine until I took the bite of the brownie
that had the worst flavor I have ever come across. It ruined the complete meal
and nothing could transform the flavor.

However, if I was to ignore the
last bit, I would sum it as a good review with a just one glitch.
A good place for a start up, TC
has acquired a good fan following in the last couple of months. It has become
the favorite place for youngsters to catch up with old buddies over a glass of
beer and snacks with good music to pair it with. Go with an open mind with your
friends if you love music and keep aside everything else!
