Le Belvedere @ Le Meridien Delhi – A Restaurant with a magnificent view

You might have frequented many
Chinese restaurants across the city, but has any place cast a spell on you?
Le Belvedere @ Le Meridien whisks
you onto a magical journey of culinary delight that leaves you spellbound.Located on the top floor of the hotel, it shares space with a mesmerizing lounge.

 The Chinese reastaunant offers the
most exotic preview of Lutyen’s Delhi. If you love to watch green foliage choose
to have lunch while feasting your eyes on the green belt covering Delhi like a
warm blanket. The dinner is all the more even classier as the city glistens in starry
night while you enjoy listening to soothing musical numbers. The restaurant has
an air of permanence about it.
We sat near the windows admiring
the beauty of the night. The Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, the pastel-colored
table cloth spread depict luxury. A bar in the end and a live band makes the
place live and exuberant. The live band entertains diners with the best songs as per your request.

The menu @ Le Belvedere is vocal
with freshly picked dishes from the East.
The hospitable staff always have a smiling face that make you want to
smile back. One of the server assisted us with the
choice of dishes and we were happy he did that. He recommended to start off
with a Crispy Chicken Tossed With Fresh Red Chilly And Cerelery. The tender
chicken, soft and sautéed well with vegetables resembles the chilly
chicken dish that comes perfect with sauted vegetables. Highly recommended!
The start of the review was worth commending. We were offered Vegetable Spring
Rolls With Sweet Chilly Dip. The combination of sweet and sour is what this
dish is about. The vegetables rolled inside scream efficiency and taste delcious. It
was the Mix Vegetable Dumplings that won our hearts. They are respectable, with
thin skins and nicely browned exteriors.
Since the monsoons are best to
enjoy a hot steaming soup, we went for Tofu And Preserved Vegetable Soup and Sour
&  Pepper Vegetable Soup. The former,
with fresh vegetables will entice soup lovers who love the soups in their clear form. Devoid of any
spices or cornflour, it satiated my taste buds and pleased my palette.
The main course comprised of a Deep
Fried Sole N Chilly XO Sauce, Diced Chicken In Black Pepper and Pan Fried Veg
Noodles. The flavorful Deep Fried Sole N Chilly dish is spotted with vegetables,
which add a brilliant flavor to a slightly spicy, yet almost-sweet sauce.
If
you love noodles the soggy way, take the pan fried noodles (veg or non veg).
The vegetables are done well with a spicy intonation that sit pretty on the
sides of the noodles. The Diced Chicken In Black And Pepper was the perfect
match with the dish.

To add a sweet note to the
review, the chef suggested the Date Pancake Served With Vanilla Ice Cream, a
sinful Chocolate Mud Cake and a Rambutan With Ice Cream. The sweetness is enticing
in the desserts that balanced the tanginess of the dishes.
