Johny Rockets – Food Lover’s Delight

The Vasant Kunj Promenade mall is
a haven for foodies and a paradise for shoppers. I love both – shopping and
indulging in good food. So to make the most of my weekend, I chose the Vasant
Kunj Promenade mall. The mall was packed and it being a Saturday, there were
barely seats in any restaurants.

We went to Johny Rockets and luckily found a
seat. The servers welcomed us warmly and ushered us to a table.  Although the restaurant was very chaotic, the
energy in the restaurant was very infectious. There were lot of youngsters who could be seen
having a great time. The place is very well lit from all sides and there is lot
of vibrancy at every corner.
The well paced tables give room to diners and
convenience to the servers while taking orders. Our server arrived on time to
take down the order. While we struggled with two different menus, he helped us
in deciding what to order.
The menu has interesting classification
of Ala Carte – where diners have the luxury of choosing unlimited meals at a
decent cost. The Ala Carte order however has the similar portion but is
limited. We ordered the salads first. I ordered for Ala Carte Greek and Caesar
salads in chicken.
Even though both resembled in presentation and aroma, their
tastes were different from each other. The nachos @ Johny Rockets were the unconventional nachos that I ever had. Mixed well with juicy dips and herbs, the dish screamed of flavor and spice. I loved the dressing and presentation. The seasonings were subtle in the
former, while the latter had a spicy intonation.
For starters, we went with the
Rocket Wings and Chicken Tenders. The
barbecue sauce is the perfect match to the fried chicken that teases the
palette with its naughty flavors.
The main course included Houston
Veggie Burger and Bacon Shredder Chicken. Soft patties in the center make the humble
burger so delectable that you cannot keep it down.
We indulged in
two classic shakes – Coffee classic and Oreo shake, which served to be the best
partners to our food. But, the dessert was the best part. It
was a classic combination of chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream that
simply melted in my mouth.
Johny Rockets spells magic for food lovers, especially
the youth. With pocket friendly options of dining in a fun ambiance, this place
surely has a bright future ahead!
