International Yoga Day with The Roseate New Delhi

I have always loved Hatha Yoga. So when I received a special invitation from The Roseate to witness the Yoga experience by Isha foundation I was simply elated.

The Roseate – Perfect place to experience wellness and tranquility

Inspired by the philosophy of ‘five’ elements that integrate, art, architecture and nature into one unique ‘space’, The Roseate New Delhi is truly a therapeutic detox to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Inspired to excite the senses and make guests feel truly special. Luxurious pampering and healing treatments are offered in a soothing, stress-relieving environment.  The contemporary design and decor entices guests to transcend the everyday world. This sanctum-sanctorum provides a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere to revel in.  Keeping in view the high paced lifestyle of today, the event highlights the contribution of yoga in creating an equilibrium between mind and body in a holistic way.

The human being a physical, mental and spiritual being, yoga helps promote a balanced development at all three levels. Unlike other forms of physical exercises, yoga ensures the development of the spiritual or astral body. This was the fourth International Yoga day and it couldn’t have been better than to celebrate with Roseate.  The beautiful property conducted a special class for guests called the Hatha Yoga by Isha foundation and I looked forward to experience it.  I reached at sharp eight and was in awe with the lush greenery, water bodies and the wide variety of birds. The property  looked perfect for an odyssey to wellness and tranquility as it exuded a calm and serene vibe in their ballroom.

As I entered the ballroom where the class was being conducted,  I was welcomed by the staff with folded hands and was escorted inside. There were yoga mats spread everywhere and a large screen that was displaying Hatha Yoga by Isha foundation.

As the class began, I could feel connected with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev who enchants his disciplines with his preaching and knowledge of the yogic postures. I felt enlightened and refreshed each time I practiced the yogic movements.

The classs ended with meditation and relaxation post which everyone felt refreshed and recharged. I was rejuvenated and thanked my dear friend Ranjita Shaw, PR and Marketing who had invited me to witness the fabulous wellness odyssey.

Later, we moved to Kiyan for a healthy breakfast. The all -day dining restaurant followed the farm-to-table concept. The breakfast comprised of yoghurt, fruits, juices, whole wheat breads, south Indian delicacies and varieties of salads. We devoured the breakfast and enjoyed the day that was filled with fun and laughter.
