Geetanjali Westend Greens – Luxury Re-defined!

I love pampering sessions at
salons. Not only are they helpful for the beautification, the entire experience takes
you away from the regular hectic lifestyle we all are immersed in. My recent
experience @ Geetanjali salon on Westend Greens transformed my looks and rejuvenated
my senses as well.

Hosting a highly qualified team
of therapists, this luxury salon is located on the NH 8, Gurgaon, so finding
this place is not a challenge.
The brick walls are all lined with cult beauty
products, whilst contemporary music in the background transports you to a different
world. Besides that, potted plants at each corner enhance the Zen experience.
This is the kind of place that you want to spend an entire day. Behind the Reception area, there is a Unisex
zone with comfortable massage chairs in the hair wash area.
The beautician is
very helpful in suggesting the facials after analyzing the skin tone. So while I was confused about the
treatment I should go for, she suggested to try the Skeyndor facial, which is
natural, light, safe and provides the best results.
A big doubt clouded my mind about the
facials but since I love Skeyndor products, I agreed. Skeyndor is a brand I first started
using 2 years back after a friend suggested me.
That’s when I realized how
amazingly fresh and natural a beauty product can be. The products are
formulated to help soothe skin prone to dryness or sensitivity. I found it
perfect for my skin and went ahead with the facial from Skeyndor.
The treatment
 
I was escorted to the basement where there are two rooms. While the potted plants usher in the greenhouse effect, the nail bar with beautiful shades look very appealing
The rooms at Geetanjali are very
spacious with every corner illuminating and peaceful. A shower area is present
in the massage rooms that are great for privacy and indulgence. A large
dressing table with basic amenities and a wardrobe complete the necessary details in a massage room.
I
kept my clothes inside and wore the gown to let the therapist work her magic
on my face and neck.  I lied on the bed and
immediately closed my eyes. My tiredness due to the traffic dodging seemed to
disappear, the moment she applied the cleaner from Skeyndor.
The soft hands
helped to permeate the cream inside the skin, while the gentle circular massage
accentuated my relaxation. About 5 minutes later, she applied a gentle scrub,
allowing it to pull out black heads naturally from the skin.
I was already in
heaven the moment she made me sniff lavender based oil from her hands. The
aroma was so subtle yet invigorating, that it made me smile. She later applied
a gentle massage cream which she massaged so beautifully that I dozed off. The
music in the background transported me to paradise.
I could imagine myself
surrounded by nature. The beauty of the facial came to its peak when she
applied a gel based mask on my face and neck. The soothing Aloe Vera mask was
so cooling that it accentuated my happiness level. The facial was completed,
yet I could feel the light sensation and positive vibrations.

Pedicure and manicure by Cuccio –
 
In the pedicure station, there are massage chairs lined up side by side scattered on every surface to keep you entertained whilst your feet are primped and preened. I opted for the Cuccio pedicure.

Cuccio is a high brand that has a delicious combination of milk and honey – perfect ingredient for beautiful feet. The treatment usually takes about 60 to 90 minutes. It is split into eight sections that include exfoliating, cleansing, pack, massage.

The therapist first cuts my nails and started shaping them with a file, before cleaning the cuticles. He then shines nails using a leather buff with a nourishing cream from Cuccio, and ends this first part of the treatment by applying a moisturizer on nails to hydrate and strengthen them.

My feet are soaked in a deliciously warm foot bath to help ease tension and soften the skin. He takes out the feet one by one and uses a surgical blade to gently remove calluses, and an exfoliating Cuccio scrub to get rid of the rough skin. The sea salt in the scrub naturally helps to cleanse and remove dead skin. Later, he massages my feet with firm strokes using the Cuccio cream to boost circulation and soften the heels.  My feet looked at least 10 years younger.

The Pedicure here is hands down the best pedicure I’ve ever experienced. Following a similar format to the pedicure, the manicure begins with nails being shaped and cuticles tidied an exfoliation and then a deeply nourishing massage. The hands are accentuated by a soft stroke of color bar nude nail paint.


Hair cut and hair spa-
 
My next review was the hair spa by Kerastene. This hair spa is well known
for hair fall and improvement of hair texture. The cream is well massaged into
the scalp followed by a gentle massage, that I loved.  Since my scalp gets dried too soon, this was the best therapy for me.
I needed that powerful dose immensely. The booster that is added in the Kerastene helps to rejuvenate the scalp and also encourage hair growth.
The treatment lasts for 45 minutes and is
followed by a head wash. My scalp felt lighter and happier.
It was time for a haircut.
Although I am usually very skeptical about my hair dresser, but my doubts
vanished the moment the hair dresser enquired about the length I want my hair
to be.
This assured me that my hair were in the right hands. A few cuts at the
base, the hair underwent a drastic change and looked spectacular after the blow-dry.
My hair looked spectacular.
