If you’re traveling to Maldives, then prepare to be excited — because you’re about to discover a much easier, simpler and more convenient way to travel directly from Delhi.
Recently the Maldivian airlines started their direct flights and flew selected travel agents and media to the gorgeous Amaya Kuda Rah, Maldives directly from Delhi.
This was the first direct flight from Delhi to Maldives that took place on the 5th of November and reached the destination in almost four hours. The FAM trip was organized by Yorker Travel Limited – a company that specializes in international cruises all over the world. Started by Vineet, the company aims to give amazing packages for travelers across the globe. This FAM trip was organized to acquaint travel agents from across India with the Maldivian airline experience.
The FAM trip at the breathtaking Amaya Kuda Rah was for 5 days and 4 nights and gave us an experience that was worth cherishing.
Here are few guidelines required before boarding the flight –
- All passengers are required to wear masks while at the airport and in-flight.
- You can do an online check-in service to avoid queues and reduce interactions at the airport.
- All international passengers traveling to and from the Maldives are required to submit the online Traveler Health Declaration within 24 hours prior to travel.
- Install and use the contract tracing app “TraceEkee” when traveling.
- All Tourist are required to have a PCR negative effective 10th Sep2020
The Experience on board
My first impression flying with The Maldivian Airlines was indeed very positive. I believe this airline is coming to strongly position itself in the top of the world airlines due to its high standards and excellent on-board customer service.
Here are some interesting facts as part of the review to the Maldivian airline:
- The luggage check in was quick and efficient.
- Boarding was efficient and convenient at the Indian Gandhi airport.
- There was a slight delay in taking off as the clearance came in a bit late.
- The airplane was quite clean and was sanitized quite well. Aisles were wide inside the airplane and the seats were comfortable with enough leg room.
- The Maldivian Airlines staff respects sleeping times. They won’t disturb you until it is time for the meal.
- Before the meal, staff members hand over a small kit with wet wipes and sanitizers to each passenger. Food was decent; paired with a box that had fruits, buns, butter and yoghurt. Tea and coffee was served after the meal.
- The Airlines staff is smiling most of the times, and always has a congenial friendly approach to all passengers. The washrooms are also neatly kept well equipped with sanitizers, hand wash and lotions.
- The baggage was retrieved on time and we proceeded to our destination – the gorgeous Amaya Kuda Rah (followed in my next blog).
Overall the entire experience was good. The staff is professional and courteous at all times. If you are planning a trip to Maldives, you can click here and check their prices.
