Fabulous Navratri menu @ The Radisson Blu Dwarka

The Navratri fasts are not just perfect for detoxification but they also
allow us to get closer to divinity. The simple foods made in clarified butter
devoid of iodized salt help in further cleansing. I received an invitation to review the Navratri festival happening at RadissonBlu Dwarka the first day of my fast. I was elated to devour their auspicious thaali and accepted the
invitation.

Radisson Blu Dwarka is synonymous
with warm hospitality, perfect ambiance and delicious food. The interiors of
the place are as spectacular as the ingredients in each dish. The team of chefs
and servers ensure guests take back great memories. We visited the
place on Wednesday evening to dig into the flavors of the auspicious
thaali.

The festival is going on at their
multi-cuisine restaurant, Spring that has a wide variety of lip smacking Indian
and continental delicacies that reflect the flawless execution of the chefs.

We were ushered to our seats and were
served a cup of shorba to pave way
for the delicacies to begin. I found the shorba
a perfect start to the culinary odyssey and drank to my heart’s content.

The Executive
chef helped in making the review spectacular by serving us a fantastic Italian delicacy
with a traditional touch – Zucchini Lasagna. Sitting on a spread of tomato and
basil sauce, this beautiful dish is immersed in mozzarella cheese and is
flavorsome and aromatic. I loved the presentation but became a fan of the taste in this dish.
The surprise continued when the
server served us three thaalis that had small bowls with palette pleasing
dishes, sabudana paapad, puris, samak rice with vegetables. The starters included tofu satay and
arbi satay.  My personal favorite was the tofu satay.
The sauce
that comes on it only accentuates the flavor further. The vegetables included tangy
paneer tamatar ka kut that worked
like a charm. The soothing pineapple and khajoor rayta (curd) were absolute winners. My
favorite was the kuttu me ate ke dimsum also known as stuffed dimsum – an absolute
delight for dimsum lovers.
Accompanied with kuttu puris,
samak rice, chhaach
, this spread works well with those wanting to revel in
variety. The highlight of the meal is the dessert that includes makhaane ki
kheer
and ghiye ka halwa that seals the meal on a charming note. Also, the gud (jaggery) ki lassi shouldn’t be missed!

The Navratri thaali festival runs from 10th October to 18th October 2018
and has some distinguished delicacies to add a twist to the regular thaalis to entice diners with a
change from the usual.
