Deck – The Sky Bar – Best place to party

Fusion food invokes images of rich, aromatic flavors, succulent delicacies and innovative desserts. They have a wonderful way of enticing all the senses! The recently held Blogger’s meet at Sky bar, Vishal Enclave in West Delhi had everything for everyone.

The restaurant is among the stalwarts of the Indian fine-dining restaurant scene. As I step inside the restaurant, wide spaces welcomed me with warmth. The Silk Route restaurant of the Sky Bar has a charming appeal that transcends you to a romantic place and fills your heart with contentment.  The smooth finish on the walls impresses you with its subtle hues that heighten the aesthetic impact of the food.
The Sky Bar is an uber chic fine dining restaurant that looks even more beautiful in the evening when the dim lighting play along. The ambiance is indeed very alluring. Latest music playing in the background adds to the complete dining experience.
It was a very special moment for me as I searched for my name on the table. Excitedly I took my seat and introduced myself to my fellow food. The place was the perfect set up for connecting with new people and making friends for a lifetime.
The glass table was spacious enough to cover a large spread of the food bloggers. We enjoyed innovative mocktails prepared by the maestros at the bar. I loved the Guava Maria.
The subtle flavors of sweet with a dash of spice elevated the taste even further. We persued the menu comprising the starters. The list was exhaustive and I was bit choosy to eat.
We started with the soups. The Roasted tomato and basil with garlic toffee is a fabulous concoction of tomatoes and traditional herbs mixed together to create a symphony. However, the Cream of mushroom with kesar froth is a very interesting take on the usual mushroom soups.
I relished the Kabuli Maawe Ki Afghani Veg Seekh with mint sauce.  The moist, chunky boneless seekh pieces coated with traditional herbs simply melt in your mouth. Next was the Thai scented dahi kabab with sesame chilli chutney. It was the most delectable kabab I have ever tasted.
The Paneer tikka tacos with American cheddar and khatta cream is the unusual take of paneer on tacos and is serious comfort food. It went extremely well with sour cream. Special mention must be made of the Chicken krapoa lettuce wrap. The aromatic and fleshy chicken is presented in alluring lettuce covering the top. This is done to seal the rich flavors of the spices that make the taste divine.
Smoked mushroom galauti on crisp pita medallion and coriander reduction is another dish I loved. There’s something gratifying about the flavors and texture of this dish. The coriander in this dish smell heavenly. The mushroom galauti with pita medallion create a succulent flavor, and the herbs elevate the dish to something special.
Thai steamed fish three bell pepper sauce is a dish perfect for Thai food lovers. The texture of fish goes well with the bell pepper sauce that accentuates flavor and aroma. The Sumac grilled fish Jamaican mayo is impressive. Seasonings in this dish are compelling in this dish, adding a unique taste that reminds me of fresh herbs.
It’s a wonderful choice for grilled fish lovers.
There were more starters at the table, but my stomach was filled to the brim and I needed to wash it down with another cocktail. I tried the Virgin Watermelon Mojito. The sweetness of the drink is subtle and well balanced.
Our dear friend, Sachin is a complete entertainer. He ensured we all had a great time at the party. He took us all to the Deck that is a few stairs up on the terrace. The evening was still bright and the clouds were playing hide and seek.
The music started and the stage was all set up for the dance party. Peppy numbers from Punjabi hits can allure even the non dancers on stage. We danced to the beats till our heels supported us.
It was a fun night. Although the table was set with the main course, but I couldn’t eat a morsel. I concluded the food review with a lemon tart that was delicious. Sachin had another surprise waiting for the bloggers.
A wine bottle was presented to each one of us before us. It was a beautiful gesture and I thanked him before leaving the place.
The experience was brilliant. The Deck at the Sky Bar is the perfect place to party and I shall surely choose this venue for my next celebration!
