China House – An unforgettable sojourn

Chinese food lovers can rejoice
now!QBA brings to Delhi some of the
most alluring spicy dishes to devour. The China House has brilliant interiors to match with the
perfect flavors of the Chinese cuisine.Although CP has some of the
finest restaurants, this one is totally different!
Located in the outer circle
of the bustling CP, China House is easy to
approach.
As I entered China House,
soothing music and friendly staff refreshed me with their warm and welcoming smile.
I could see Thai umbrellas hanging from the top and beaten metal orchids
embellished in the walls that looked very appealing. The two floored restaurant has a
medium sized bar in the corner that is accentuated with brilliant lighting
arrangements. The spacious and well lit ambiance is very impressive. The
finesse of wooden furniture with the golden touch makes it look opulent.
Brocolli dumplings
I was seated at a table that gave
me a complete view of the place. Along with the other bloggers, I was looking
forward for the review to begin.
The attendant brought an
interesting starter of Brocolli sesame dumpling. It had a sensuous flavor in
every each bite that was an intonation of perfection. Dipped in hot garlic
sauce, the dumplings as starters were apt. The other starter was a chicken momo
which however wasn’t as pleasing as the veg one. Unfortunately, it lacked
consistency and binding. The Thai crispy vegetables that followed did fairly
well but were more on the sweeter side. People who avoid sugars can skip this starter.
Main course – soba noodles with fish

The main course consisted of Basa
fish served with XO sauce. Marinated well with herbs, the Basa fish was the
perfect dish I enjoyed. The four treasure vegetables served in hunan style was
equally satiating. Sautéed in a wok, the crispiness of vegetables are retained
well while the sauces did justice to the flavor. The Veg Soba noodles would be the
right choice for noodle lovers. Accompanied with vegetables, they go well with
celery sauce.

The scrumptious caramel pudding

After the tangy and saucy odyssey
of Chinese flavors, it was now time for the desserts.A crème caramel had the right
proportion of sweetness that matched our expectations quite well. To keep the
sugar craving going, a tall glass with vanilla ice cream was served with date
and figs pancake. This one is a favorite with the kids. The pancakes filled
with dates tastes great with vanilla ice cream.

China House ensures their
guests leave the place satiated to the brim. So while we were praising about
the overall hospitality, a round of Jasmine tea was served that closed the
entire meal.

China House is for anyone who
loves to experiment with flavors. If you dine here, you would probably like to
re-visit again.
