Cafe Hinglish – A Fabulous Beach Cafe in West Delhi

A normal weekday turned into a very exciting one when I experienced a fabulous lunch experience @ the Hinglish Cafe Beach Bar in Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar. The mall is the favorite spot to hangout for people in West Delhi.

The moment I stepped in, I could notice a
strong resemblance to a beach cafe, where every element looks relaxing and
enticing. Soothing blue colors evoke a calming effect while the music takes guests
for a magical ride altogether.

The indoor and outdoor ambiance has a charming
beach theme set in a relaxed and airy ambience, amidst waterfalls, bright
sunshine and greenery. There were other food bloggers too who were invited to experience
the delectable journey.

Launched in December 2011, Hinglish first
opened as a Colonial Café, pioneering the need for chic, concept cafes in the
area. Taking its love for concepts further and acknowledging the immense growth
in food patterns of West Delhi, the new café and beach bar is now all about
relaxed comfort.

The Masterchef took us through a dessert making
session which was fun filled and very interactive. He taught us to prepare
bread and butter pudding. The process was indeed simple where simple
ingredients took the shape of something scrumptious and creative.

He gave us
our own containers to prepare the dessert in our own style and label them. I added
nuts and extra butter to give a creamy and nutty taste. While the dessert was
taking its shape, we sat down for lunch.

The lunch menu experience was  fabulous where we got to taste the finest delicacies
and sip creatively crafted mocktails. We started with the mango chutney filled
croquettes and malai broccoli kebabs that were both perfect in presentation and
delicious to devour.

The chicken chaat salad was a very innovative way to
showcase a perfect combination of taste and health. My favorite was the barley
and jowar salad with chilli and hung curd dressing that was vocal with healthy flavors
and even tasted delicious.

The Nazzas, with vegetables and chicken toppings
looked too delicious to resist. I could not settle for one and loved the
crunchiness of the naan base that were holding the toppings quite well.

I was awe struck when traditional tiffin was
kept on the table. With simple dishes like black daal, paneer, rice and rotis,
this tiffin is the perfect answer for an empty stomach.
The icing on the cake was the dessert that I
prepared along with other bloggers. It tasted brilliantly well with the Apple
Pie Ice Cream.
