Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive at Leh
The tour starts with one of the most sensational flights in
the world. Flying from Delhi to Leh, you can see in the distance the peaks of
K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and Nun Kun Massif. Situated at a height of 11,000
ft., a traveler needs to rest for 24-36 hours to acclimatize himself to the
high altitude.
Arrive at Leh airport in the morning. On a clear day
one can see the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum from one side of the
aircraft. Upon arrival a tour representative escorts you to the hotel. Post
Lunch and some leisure, you can explore the winding streets and bazaars of
the old town, visit nearby Buddhist monasteries or Gompas, look for artistic
treasures and listen to the hypnotic chanting of monks, you allow yourself
to get oriented to this fascinating city. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Local sight-seeing in Leh – Acclimatize yourself
Wake up lazy morning. After breakfast drive your way to Leh
– Srinagar highway. Visit the Hall of fame, Magnetic hill, Confluence point,
Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and other interesting local places. In evening, head to
the Shanti Stupa. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Leh – Zingchan (By Surface approx. 1 hr)
The third is when the real trek begins. In morning after
breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Zingchan. This is the entry point
to Rumbak Valley – the home of the Snow Leopard.
You will have the opportunity to interact with the locals of
the area and gain a good insight into their culture. Overnight stay in the
tented. Staying in tented camps, you will now trek into the mountain sides,
valleys and gorges and interiors of Snow Leopard country for the next nine
days.
Day 04: Zingchan – Rumbak (12,540 ft) approx. 5
hrs.

In morning, leave the camp and head to the interior of Snow Leopard country
for trekking. Return in evening and overnight stay in a tented camp.
Day 05: A Day at Rumbak Valley
 
Explore the area on foot with your guide to try and spot the
Snow Leopard. The Hemis National Park has an incredibly scenic landscape.
You might sight raptors such as Lammergeier and Himalayan Griffon Vulture and
other birds like Brown and Robin Accentors, and Himalayan & Tibetan
Snowcock. The area is home to Red Fox, Pika and Woolly Hares. If lucky, one can
also spot rare mammals including Tibetan Wolf, Lynx and Tibetan Argali, though
these are rarely seen. In the process there will also be plenty of
opportunity for you to get enthralling insights into local folklore, as well as
learn about their customs and traditions. Overnight stay at the tented camp.
Day 06: Back to Leh via Zingchan

In morning, leave the camp and trek back to Zingchan from where drive
onward to Leh. Reach Leh in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07: Return back home
 
Check out the hotel after breakfast and you’ll be
transferred to Leh airport to board the flight back to home.
