Finding the highest quality spirits is an art which only a few acquire. We got to experience a distiller’s craft and the distinct character of spirits at The Sip ‘n’ Talk event held @ Tonino on Saturday, October 31.st

On arrival, we could see the terrace all beautifully lit up. The venue offered dramatic vistas and a world-class whiskey tasting session.

The weather was perfect for a drink in the hand. The emcee of the event, Reety Wadhwa who is a public speaker came on centre stage to initiate the event. A corporate trainer since 2012, Reety has mastered the art of effective communication. She has been taking workshops on leadership and motivation.
The whisky expert Anchal is well versed with her whisky acumen and is well known for her position as brand custodian. Her passion for the poison took her to the original land of Whiskies, Scotland that led to the culmination of her venture “Liquid Sunshine”. Anchal helps people to savor whisky while educating them about the different whiskies across the world.
 
Different brands like Glenfiddich,  Chivas, Glenmorangie, Jack Daniels, Laphroig were placed before us.  We could distinguish the color of the scotch. The sniffing session helped us to distinguish its woody flavors. Jack Danielle topped the list with its woody essence.
The strong taste simmers down the strong character once its diluted.  We were offered pairings to go with the scotch. The cheese and chocolates paired well with the scotch did justice to the brands. An Italian dinner of pizzas and chocolate lasagnias made the perfect ending to the event.
