My Seafood experience @ Westin

The Westin Hotel Gurgaon spells a
classic elegance which is nothing short of spectacular. I love the hotel’s
exterior and interior that are incredibly stunning. The breathtaking property
conveys a magical feeling when you step inside the hotel.

The sea food menu @ Seasonal
Taste stretches well beyond curry house norms, with dishes such as crusted sea
bass tikka and seafood newberg. We began the meal with a variety of dimsums –
rice sumai and fish sumai that were served with chili, that was spicy yet
playful.
The first course was roasted
pomfret fish. This was a pretty dish that tasted as good as it looked. The Panko
crusted basa with tartar sauce  was a
classic dish. It was a hearty and enjoyable dish, the spices distinct and bold.
The mushroom trifolta has a nice
texture and soaking up the curry sauce. Samundra Jalpari was a revelation, the
fish marinated with curd and herbs before being cooked slowly, and served. The fish
was beautifully tender with the gentle spices pervading the flavor. The mix
seafood salad was succulent and I enjoyed it whole heartedly.
The fish biryani was, as it
should be, sealed in pastry and well presented, releasing its lovely aromas
when the pastry seal was broken. The rice was flight and fluffy and the fish was
carefully cooked.
A selection of salads was excellent, hot and pliable in
texture. Best of all of them was the grilled zucchini with sun dried tomatoes.
The babaganoush, hummus and nizmeh were devoured with fresh pita bread. We loved
the piping hot seafood soup. The rich aroma and flavor match well with the
taste and presentation.
It is always a delight to dine @
The Westin Hotel Gurgaon where warmth and hospitality make you feel at ease and
give you a beautiful dining experience.
