Gurgaon has always intrigued me
with the variety of sophisticated cafes and restaurants. The best out of all was the Town
Hall on Golf Course Road that had a combination of delectable meals served by ardent
servers.

Opened barely few months back,
the restaurant has already started getting footfalls and table booking on weekdays.
It has become a preferred choice for a couple seeking solace, an office
executive willing to enjoy meal with colleagues or youngsters willing to chill
out.

Town Hall eschews the
contemporary seating arrangement and an ambiance to make your usual day
enjoyable and exciting.The restaurant has a very selective staff that is
pleasant, efficient and always very courteous.
The co-founder Chef Augusto from Philippines
loves to make people happy by giving them a great experience through delectable food and a somber ambiance.

His experience at the Oberoi encouraged him to
create something that would please people’s palette and heart. His hard work
definitely paid off with Town Hall. I fell in love with the interiors and
the food.



My Experience:

Reaching the place is very
simple. Located in the 2 Horizon Centre on the Golf Course road in Gurgaon, the
newly constructed restaurant has impeccable interiors and ambiance. We entered the restaurant, where we were greeted by the hospitable attendants.

The soft lighting, opulent
spacing between dining tables and the wide open space impressed me. The restaurant
has a very luxe feel to it.

The elegant chandeliers catch my eye instantly
while the various certificates and accolades won by the chef impressed me.The
ambiance of the restaurant makes dining fun and
exciting.

With a large variety to peruse per page, we decided to start with
the drinks. My friend ordered rum while I was happy ordering my healthy concoction
of beetroot, apple and orange. I loved the healthy start.
We started with Kombination maki– a signature sushi of
Scottish salmon and Japanese akame( tuna) and Tanuki Salmon Maki : Salmon in and out with jalapeño and tempura
flakes. The salmon was so tender and tantalizing in both the appetizers that I
devoured it till the last bite.
Beetroot cucumber salad– a fresh and refreshing salad made of
sliced root vegetables, cucumber and apples served with chili onion ginger
dressing. Salads you must have had earlier, but this one totally surpassed all
of them with respect to the presentation, taste and crunchiness.
Chicken couscous salad-health freak’s favorite couscous mixed with
sweet and spicy onion tomato salsa with tenderly cooked chicken strips. This was
a delight to the taste buds. The freshness of sweet onion and ripe tomatoes are
mixed well with couscous. The seasoning is well accentuated making it the
perfect combination of taste and presentation.
Browned tofu– Vegetarian’s delight silken tofu served with five
different kind of fresh mushrooms. The tofu is interesting in both presentation
and taste. It is done perfectly well and goes very well with the dressing that accentuates
the taste.
Chilean Sea bass Dumplings – an unusual take on flavorful Chilean sea
bass stuffed in traditional Chinese Dimsum. The starters reflected the great
quality and freshness of the meal and we looked forward to the further review.
Vietnamese chicken– morsels of chicken marinated in
lemongrass,lemon leaf,Thai spices, galangal. I loved this dish. It simply
satiates the desire for crispy chicken glazed in Vietnamese style.
Grilled tenderloin steak– premium quality buff meat marinated in
red wine, grilled to perfection, served with red wine jus.  A work of art this dish truly is. My friend
devoured the dish and relished the taste, while I enjoyed the chicken.
Red velvet-The last epiphany of the rhythmic tune was the dessert. The
perfect ending to the entire review is this traditional red velvet that is served
in simplest form gelling to divinity with my favorite latte.
The advice to my readers is to specifically
try their sushis, dimsums and steaks. A perfect experience that is made
memorable owing to the service, hospitality and warmth.
