​Two unforgettable days of food, wine and merry-making

The first edition of The Great Food Show in association with
BBC Good Food India was  held at The
Grand, New Delhi on November 22 and 23. It promised to be two unforgettable
days of food, wine and merry-making and indeed they were. Delhiites turned in
huge number and made it a success.

Visitors witnessed a veritable
feast of experimental and classic cuisine, sampled fine wines, organic produce,
and even indulged in some retail therapy at the show.The events had 17
masterclasses by top chefs and patissiers from across the country, exclusive
book launches, discount deals, music  and
fun games and activities kept everyone entertained.

The line-up of chefs who
demonstrated their signature dishes at the Masterclasses included award-winning
names such as Vicky Ratnani, Ajay Chopra , Nishant Choubey, Saby , Vikram
Khatri , Avanti Mathur , Kishi Arora ,Allesandro , Julia Carmen , Jatin Mallik
,Kunal Kapur, Saransh Goila and Joy Banerjee.
The Masterclass was a fun and informative
cooking session where individuals interacted with their favourite chefs and
learned a few cooking tips and tricks from them.
Part fair and part exhibition,
the event saw over 50 plus exhibitors setting up stalls, which ranged from
kitchenware and gourmet products to artisanal foods from across the nation. The
exhibitors included Tupperware, KitchenAid, Borges, Murginns,  Gourmet Jar, Organic India, West Coast Group
and more.
There were home-made jams, pickles,
cookies and much, much more on display. Live music and bands playing at the
Spirit Arena entertained the people.
The show was an amalgamation of
everyone responsible in putting food on our plate, farmers, retailers and
chefs. It aimed at food enthusiasts, everyday chefs and people who are looking
to make the most out of their weekend.
