Sea food festival review @ Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon

How about some scrumptious fresh fish and wine to end this month on a good note?
Well, you asked for it, and the sea food festival @ Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon has it. The festival is on till 28th February 2016. Go here for some lip-smacking sea-food in starters and main course. There is an amazing variety of fish like Manglorean crab, shark steaks, Calamari, Tuna, Sea Bass waiting for you!

We sat down with a glass of red wine to begin with. However, the delectable flavors of the tangy soup lured us towards the soup and salad station. From the display menu, we chose cold cuts like prawns, shrimps, chicken along with fresh vegetables like lettuce, bell peppers, zucchini, onions and tomatoes with generous topping of Asian and western dips.

The oysters were firm & slippery. That done, next we moved to a few starters. Manglorean crabs tossed with pepper, a medium spicy which is a must try. Next, we tried the shark steaks. The steaks were crisp with a hint of fish flavors, which were not too overpowering. We relished them with minty green dip. By now, we were eagerly waiting for the tasty calamari that left our taste buds asking for more.
The next dish that we tried was the fish kebab that was a medium sized tikki made with groundnut flour, onions, garlic, coriander leaves. We went for the main course that had a yummy buffet comprising of Thai, Indian and continental dishes made with fish. I took a portion of the scrumptious looking King Prawn Curry with some Rice Rotis.

We thought that the curries would be spicy, but the fish curry was pleasantly spiced that was easy on the palate and was rich in flavour. The fish in the curry was sufficiently cooked that went really well with the steaming fish biryani and hot rotis.

While my daughter preferred to try the Thai corner, my partner went on with the continental dishes. She loved the tofu in Thai red curry and devoured them with fried rice and noodles. I loved the fish made in Thai style. It was scrumptious.
On till February 28th, the sea food festival invites you to enjoy handpicked varieties of fish as starters and main course, just the way you like it. Indulge in a raw seafood station where “pick your own and cook to your style” approach will be featured. You will relish Asian and western dips that will match the taste of the seafood and enjoy live sushi, sashimi and nigiri preparations by the inhouse Japanese chef.
Bon Appetite!
