Sawadhee Spa – A Tranquil Oasis in the heart of Delhi

Everyone is in the search
of enriching and enlightening experiences that help in boosting health naturally and prevents the onset of early ageing and stress.
Enter the Sawadhee spa – Here you come with a tired soul and leave with a
refreshed soul.

That is what I personally experienced in my
latest review of the tastefully built spa. Located in the bustling and chaotic
streets of Vasant Kunj, this luxury wellness oasis resembles a mini paradise.
The
blaring noises on the street seem unaffected inside the premises of Sawadhee. My stress caused by the mad
traffic came to a halt as I entered Sawadhee.
The management of the spa ensures
that this award-laden wellbeing paradise retains its position as the favorite
of guests who become regular visitors.
Opened few years back by Ms. Vibha Rastogi, the Sawadhee spa has become more relevant than ever.
When I took a tour of the sprawling spa,
it simply took my breath away. Minimalist but warm, its smartly designed architecture
seemingly jutted out over a calm retreat in Thailand.
The therapies

Body scrub (45 minutes) and deep tissue
massage
Potli massage using
aroma oils
As I walked int the couple therapy room, I was elated with the subtle aroma of the sweet smelling oils. The dim light and warm temperature instantly comforted me.
The wooden beds looked comfortable enough to whisk me off to a much needed sleep.
Our therapists folded hands and requested us to dip our feet in the bowls filled with warm water. A few minutes later, they handed the robes to slip into before the massage.
My therapist began with the deep
tissue massage with some warm oil. She applied gentle pressure starting from
the feet and legs and then the back.
Later, she began massaging the legs in a circular
motion taking the pressure all the way towards the calves. She ensured the
pressure was perfect and the strokes gentle.
After applying the oil, she
also stretched each body part to ensure blood circulation is taken care of. I
have never experienced anything like this in any of my reviews and found it
every relaxing and therapeutic. The stretching only accentuated the massage. After steam and shower, I
proceeded for the body scrub experience.

Before beginning the scrub, the
therapist ensured the pressure is subtle and not hard. Later, she dips her hand
in the concoction of coffee, raw sugar, olive oil, sea salt and smothers it on
the legs. The scrub is applied in circular motion. The entire body is bathed in
coffee scrub and the aroma lingers for a long time.
The massage lasts for an
hour and the feeling is completely blissful. I could feel the pores open up
already. This massage is the perfect choice if you are looking for exfoliation
and cleansing. The smell of their pure coffee takes you to an odyssey of wellness
immediately. My skin felt alive and
illuminated.
Potli Massage – The Potli or heated
herbal pouches are used for rejuvenation and relaxation of the body. The therapist
heated the potli and after ensuring the temperature was right, she started the massage on my daughter.
The massage was given specifically the low back, neck and joints.
The Potlis
massages are perfect in relieving pain and stiffness in joints and muscular
spasms. She loved the massage as her active sporty body was prone to stiffness due to
excessive travelling and exercise.

After the treatment, we were
served herbal tea.  I have to admit this
was the best herbal tea I have ever had. The taste was divine and the feeling
effect was calming. The experience at the Sawadhee spa was an illuminating and
blissful journey. I loved the personal attention, hospitality and warmth in
service and would recommend you to try their signature massages.
